Maharashtra B.Plan Centralized Admission Process 2021

The State Common Entrance Test Cell of the Government of Maharashtra carries out the process for admission into the 1st year of the 4-year B.Planning programme offered at various reputed Planning institutions in the state and the process is called MHT CET B.Planning CAP. Aspiring B.Plan candidates who have obtained the minimum qualifying marks in the MHT CET exam and the JEE Main B.Planning exam are allocated seats in various colleges and institutions located in the state through this process. The application forms for B.Plan admission in the state of Maharashtra are released every year on the official website of the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell. Maharashtra B.Plan CAP 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria to apply for B.Plan admission in Maharashtra state through the MHT CET Centralized Admission Process (CAP) are as follows -

  • Applicants must be a citizen of India

  • Applicants must have completed their class XIIth studies from any recognised Board

  • Applicants must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Technical Vocational Subject/Biology/Computer Science/Engineering Drawing/Chemistry at the qualifying exam level

  • Applicants must have secured at least 50% marks in their respective qualifying exams

  • Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State can apply with a minimum aggregate of 45%

  • Applicants must have secured non-zero marks in the MHT CET exam

All India Candidates

  • Applicants must be a citizen of India

  • Applicants must have completed their class XIIth studies from any recognized Board

  • Applicants must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Technical Vocational Subject/Biology/Computer Science/Engineering Drawing/Chemistry at the qualifying exam level

  • Applicants must have secured at least 50% marks in their respective qualifying exams

  • Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State can apply with a minimum aggregate of 45%

  • Applicants must have secured non-zero marks in the MHT CET/JEE Main Paper III exam

NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National

  • Applicants must have completed their class XIIth studies from any recognised Board

  • Applicants must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Technical Vocational Subject/Biology/Computer Science/Engineering Drawing/Chemistry at the qualifying exam level

  • Applicants must have secured at least 50% marks in their respective qualifying exams

Maharashtra B.Plan CAP 2021 Application Form

The application forms for Maharashtra B.Planning admission are made available for the aspirants on the official website of the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra. Aspirants with a valid MHT CET or JEE Main Paper III score and those who fulfil the remaining eligibility criteria for B.Plan admission in Maharashtra through the MHT CET Centralized Admission Process can fill in the application form and apply for admission. The applicants have to submit a certain set of documents as well during the Maharashtra B.Plan CAP 2021 application process and the same have been listed below -

  • Class Xth marksheet

  • Class XIIth marksheet

  • JEE Main Paper III/MHT CET marksheet

  • School Leaving Certificate

  • Certificate to prove that the applicants are a resident of India

Maharashtra B.Plan CAP 2021 Merit List

Eligible candidates who submit their respective filled application forms for B.Plan admission in Maharashtra through MHT CET CAP on or before the last application date are assigned merit numbers. Thereafter, a merit list is prepared by the officials as per the marks secured by the candidates in their respective entrance examinations. In the case of NRI / OCI / PIO and Foreign Students Candidates, the merit list is prepared on the basis of the percentage of marks in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together at the Qualifying examination. In case of a tie, it is resolved in the following manner -

Maharashtra B.Planning CAP 2021 Option Form

The Maharashtra B.Planning CAP option form is released shortly after the declaration of the merit list. Candidates selected for the final admission process through the merit list are required to fill the option form where they are required to provide their college choices in an order of decreasing priority. The Maharashtra B.Plan CAP option forms are made available to the candidates through the official website of Maharashtra State CET Cell. After filling in their choices, the candidates are required to save and lock them and enter their application number and password for final submission of the options and for logging out.

Maharashtra B.Plan CAP 2021 Seat Allotment

After the officials release the final merit list, those candidates whose name appear on the same can participate in the first round of the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The centralized admission process is conducted in multiple rounds and so does the seat allotment process. Given below are some important pointers regarding the Maharashtra B.Plan CAP seat allotment process -

  • Those candidates cannot apply for the subsequent rounds of the CAP who have been allocated seats as per their first preference. Such candidates must accept the seats allocated and perform the requisite steps like visiting the ARC, getting their documents verified, submit their admission fee etc to confirm their admission

  • If the candidates have been allocated seats other than their first preference and they wish to continue with the admission process, they must freeze the seats offered to them and carry out the remainder of the steps to confirm their admission. They are also eligible to participate in the subsequent rounds of the CAP

  • If the candidates have been allocated seats other than their first preference and they do not wish to accept the seats can participate in the subsequent rounds of the CAP for better options

If you mistakenly uploaded a wrong document (like a voter ID with the incorrect birth date) during the JEE Main application correction window and now need to upload the correct document showing your accurate date of birth, you should immediately log in to your JEE Main candidate portal using your application number and password during the open correction period.
