SLAT 2026 Counselling Process; Check Details Here

​The SLAT 2026 counselling process will begin after the release of the SLAT result. Symbiosis Law Schools (SLS) will provide the counselling schedule online on their website. The counselling round will be held separately for each participating SLS. The counselling process in SLS Nagpur will begin on February 14, 2026 (expected), while in other colleges, the counselling will be conducted on February 15, February 17 and February 18, 2026 (expected). The SLAT 2026 result will be released on January 15, 2025. The SLAT 2026 exam is scheduled to be conducted on December 20 for Test 1 and December 28, 2025, for Test 2.

The Symbiosis International University (SIU) conducts the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) for shortlisting candidates for its four law schools. It is one of the most popular law entrance exams in India and many students appear for several rounds of SLAT to secure admission to one of the four Symbiosis Law Schools (SLS). The integrated law courses of BA LLB course and BBA LLB course are offered at all the campuses of SLS.

After conducting the SLAT 2026 exam, candidates have to appear for the SLAT counselling round. Below are the important dates for the SLAT 2026 counselling process.

Note: The students have to book their slots for the PI round of each SLS campus beforehand, right after the declaration of the results.

SLAT 2026 Counselling Process

Eligible candidates can participate in the SLAT 2026 counselling process after the participating law colleges send call letters to the shortlisted candidates. These candidates will then have to appear for the Personal Interview (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT) rounds that will be held separately by each law school. Candidates, while appearing in the PI round, have to submit their SLAT scorecard to support their eligibility.

In detail, the SLAT 2026 counselling process has been explained below. The candidates who will appear for the upcoming SLAT examination can find all the necessary information regarding the SLAT counselling process here.

• First, candidates will have to appear for SLAT 2026.
• After the declaration of the result, they will be called for the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) if they qualify the SLAT cutoff.
• After the declaration of SLAT results, the candidates who clear the cutoff will be asked to book a slot for their WAT and Personal Interaction (PI) rounds.
• For every SLS campus that candidates choose, they have to book different slots.
• A set of instructions will be given to them for the PI and WAT round which they will have to mandatorily follow.
• After the Personal Interaction rounds of all the campuses are over, merit lists will be released by each Symbiosis Law School as per the total number of applicants they have received.
• The SLAT merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of candidates in all the rounds: SLAT objective paper, WAT, and PI.
• Students who feature in the merit list of SLAT 2026 will be given a time period to freeze their seats and pay the admission fee.
• Once the applicant has paid the requisite fee, his/ her admission will be final.

Documents required for SLAT 2026 Counselling

Aspirants taking part in the counselling process should bring the following documents with them to the counselling location. They must bring all documents, in both originals and copies.

They should carry the following:

• Domicile certificate issued by the competent authority
• Class 10th mark sheet and certificate
• Class 12th mark sheet

Candidates who are attempting to take or waiting for the results of the class 12th or equivalent examination must present a bonafide certificate issued by their current school.

Applicants should also bring the following documents:
