SSSIHL UG and PG Eligibility Criteria 2020

To apply for the undergraduate and postgraduate programs, the candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria set by the institute. The SSSIHL eligibility criteria for the UG & PG programs are mentioned below:​

SSSIHL UG Courses Eligibility Criteria

B.A, B.B.A and B.Com (Hons)

• 10+2 schooling from any recognised board (CBSE or it's equivalent).

• Either passed or have appeared in the final examinations of class 12th before appearing for the admissions test.

• Candidate should have passed in class 12th examination with minimum 55% marks or 60% while including English as the main subject (If not appeared in the class 12th examination, candidates class 10th and 11th marks will be considered).

• Candidates should be below 19 years of age at the time of admission.

B.Sc. in Food and Nutritional Sciences

• 10+2 schooling from any recognised board (CBSE or it's equivalent).

• Either passed or have appeared in the final examinations of class 12th before appearing for the admissions test.

• Candidate should have passed in class 12th examination with minimum 55% marks or 60% while including English as the main subject (If not appeared in the class 12th examination, candidates class 10th and 11th marks will be considered for the admission).

• Only candidates with subject combinations in Mathematics/ Physics/ Chemistry or Botany/ Zoology will be eligible for the admission in the B.Sc. program.

• Candidates should be below 19 years of age at the time of admission.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Science

• 10+2 schooling from any recognised board (CBSE or it's equivalent).

• Either passed or have appeared in the final examinations of class 12th before appearing for the admissions test.

• Candidate should have passed in class 12th examination with minimum 55% marks or 60% while including English as the main subject (If not appeared in the class 12th examination, candidates class 10th and 11th marks will be considered for the admission).

• Candidates should have studied mathematics in class 10 and 12 and studied Algebra, Geometry, Calculus and Basic Statistics.

• Candidates should be below 19 years at the time of admission.

Diploma in Music

• Candidate should have passed class 10th examination from any recognized board (CBSE or equivalent).

• Foundation Course in Music (or equivalent) from any recognized college or institution.

• Candidate should be above 16 years and below 20 years at the time of admission.

Note: Applicants who are especially talented, with a family background in professional music and other fine arts, will also be considered at the admission. In such cases, the candidate needs to submit some documentary evidence.

SSSIHL PG Courses Eligibility Criteria

M.A. in English Language and Literature

• 10+2 schooling with 3 years of university education (total 15 years) from any recognised board or university.

• Candidate should have any Bachelor's degree or should have appeared in the final year examination of the bachelor's program before appearing for the admission test of the institute.

• In the bachelor degree, the candidate should have scored 50% or more or have scored 6 CGPA out of 10-point scale with English as one of the main subjects (And if the candidate has not appeared in the final examination then he or she should submit the marks of the preceding year or semester).

• Candidate should be less than 23 years of age at the time of admission.

M.Sc. in Mathematics

• 10+2 schooling with 3 years of university education (total 15 years) from any recognised board or university.

• Candidate should have any Bachelor degree or have appeared in the final year examination of bachelor program before appearing for the admission test of the institute.

• In the bachelor's degree, the candidate should have scored 50% or more or have scored 6 CGPA out of 10-point scale with English as one of the main subjects (And if the candidate has not appeared in the final examination then he or she should submit the marks of the preceding year or semester.)

• A B.Sc. candidate with a degree in mathematics or in any other B.Sc. Programs (M/P/C or M/E/S or M/P/CS) with a significant specialisation in mathematics are eligible to apply for the M.Sc. program in Mathematics.

• Candidate should be less than 23 years of age at the time of admission.

• Candidate should be familiar with the following topics:-

Mathematics: Calculus, Differential Equations, Probability Theory, Real Analysis, Group Theory, Ring Theory, Linear Algebra, Complex Analysis, Discrete Mathematics, and Numerical Analysis.

Computer Science: C Language Programming

M.Sc. in Physics

• 10+2 schooling with 3 years of university education (total 15 years) from any recognised board or university.

• Candidate should have any Bachelor degree or have appeared in the final year examination of bachelor program before appearing for the admission test of the institute.

• In the bachelor degree, the candidate should have scored 50% or more or have scored 6 CGPA out of 10-point scale with English as one of the main subjects (And if the candidate has not appeared in the final examination then he or she should submit the marks of the preceding year or semester).

• Candidate should hold a bachelor degree in B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics along with Mathematics as one of the main subject with one of the additional subject either in Chemistry, Statistics, Electronics or Computer Science are eligible to apply.

• Candidates without honours in B.Sc. should have three subject combination in Physics, Mathematics and either one of the subjects in Chemistry, Statistics, Electronics or Computer Science are eligible to apply.

• Candidate should be less than 23 years of age at the time of admission.

M.Sc. in Food and Nutritional Sciences

• 10+2 schooling with 3 years of university education (total 15 years) from any recognised board or university

• Candidate should have any Bachelor degree or have appeared in the final year examination of bachelor program before appearing for the admission test of the institute

How to Apply for SSSIHL UG and PG Application Form 2020?

SSSIHL offers all applicants two options for initiating the application process for admissions in the online and offline modes

Online Mode

Steps for filling in the online application form are as follows:

• Visit the official website of the college (sssihl.edu.in).

• Click on the 'Admissions' tab and then on ‘Online Admission Portal’ in 'How to Apply' column.

• Next, click on the link given for application form.

• Fill in the application form with valid details.

• Upload the required documents.

• Pay the application fee via credit/debit card/net banking or Indian Postal Order (IPO)/ Demand Draft (DD).

• If you are paying online, please print and add a copy of the electronic receipt.

• Submit the application form on or before the stipulated date.

• Once you have filled in the application form, you will now be in a situation to submit your application form to the Admissions Office of the University. Please follow these three steps to guarantee that your application form will be processed and not rejected.

Step 1:- Please stack the completed application form with all supporting materials. Then seal it in an A4-sized envelope. This is essential so that you do not fold the attached application form and certificates.

SSSIHL UG and PG Selection Process 2020

Admission to all the courses (Undergraduate and Postgraduate program) is done on the basis of the admission test and personal interview conducted by the institute. The candidates who pass the written test will be called for the personal interview. Candidates are selected for the interview based on their results in General English and the score obtained in other entrance exams. The interview process evaluates candidates' suitability, taking into account the distinctive demands of SSSIHL education scheme. The personal interview is usually conducted on the next day of the written test. The admission test results will be published on the same day of the test (late evening/ night) or early morning of the following day.
