Tamil Nadu Board Passing Marks Criteria 2025 is 35%. You are required to score a minimum of 35% marks in each subject to pass successfully in classes 10 and 12. For 10th class, the theory paper for each subject is conducted for 100 marks, except for Science, in which the theory paper is conducted for 75 marks and the practical is conducted for 25 marks. Out of 75 marks, you are required to score 20 marks, and in practicals, you are required to score 15 marks to pass. For 12th, you must achieve 35% marks in each subject to pass; however, for language papers, you are required to score 25 out of 90 to pass. If you are unable to secure the passing marks, you can appear for the compartment exam. The passing criteria for the compartment exams are also similar to the main exams. To pass 10th class, you are required to score a minimum of 35 marks out of 100 in each subject. In Science subjects comprising a practical paper, you must score 20 marks out of 75 in theory and 15 marks out of 25 in the practical paper to pass. Tamil Nadu Board Class 12 Passing Marks Criteria 2025

In class 12th, the minimum passing marks are 35%. You must score 25 out of 90 marks for languages and subjects without practical papers to pass. For the subjects consisting of theory and practical, you must have secured a minimum of 15 out of 70 marks in theory and must have appeared for the practical to pass. The cutoff for FYJC science 2025-26 for list 1 and 2 in Xavier's College have already been released. As per first merit list, the cut off ranges between 93-84 percent for all category students. There was adip of 2 % in the second list and hence the expected cutoff for the third list should range between 88-75 percent. The thirst cut off will be released on July 23, 2025.
