UCEED Full Form

The UCEED Full Form is the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design, and the official notification for the same has been released by IIT Bombay. The exam is conducted for admission to the B.Des course . The exam is open for students who have completed their 10+2 education from a recognised board and were born on or after October 1, 2001. In the following sections, we have provided all the important details about the UCEED 2026 exam.

Before you sit for the exam, as a UCEED aspirant, you must be aware of the UCEED 2026 eligibility criteria . Scroll down to read the complete eligibility requirements as specified by the IIT Bombay:

Criterion 1 - Age limit:
The candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 2001, if belonging to the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category and born on or after October 1, 1996, if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category.

Criterion 2 - Number of attempts:
A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times, and that too in consecutive years. Note that the UCEED score is valid for one year and only for admissions in the same corresponding academic year.

Criterion 3 - Qualifying examination:
A candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2024 or 2025 to be eligible for attempting UCEED 2026. Students from ALL STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible.

What is UCEED Syllabus 2026?

UCEED Part A Syllabus: Part A of the UCEED Examination includes topics like the Language, Creativity, Visualisation and Spatial Reasoning, Observation and Design Sensitivity, Analytical and Logical Reasoning, Practical and Scientific Knowledge, Environment and Society.

UCEED Part B Syllabus: The topics covered under the UCEED Part B syllabus are related to Drawing and Design Aptitude.
