UCEED 2026 Rank Lists

UCEED 2026 rank list is expected to be out in February 2026. The IIT Bombay will release the rank list or UCEED 2026 merit list on the official exam website. In the following section, we have explained the detailed process of determining the UCEED rank lists:

UCEED Shortlisting Criteria

The UCEED Information Brochure 2026's guidelines will serve as the basis for the UCEED 2026 Shortlisting process. Continue reading to find out the standards IIT Bombay employs when selecting applicants for acceptance into certain top colleges accepting UCEED 2026 scores .

Applicants will be shortlisted based on their Part A scores. If Y and Z are the mean and standard deviations of the breakdown of scores earned by every applicant in Part-A of UCEED 2026, then Y + (Z⁄2) = x will be the cut-off (X) for Part-A grades to select applicants in the Open category. We shall round the Y, Z, and X to two decimal places. The reduced cut-off marks for students in the reserved groups are 0.9X for OBC-NCL/EWS and 0.5X for SC/ST/PwD, where X is the cut-off score for the General category.

Note: Applicants' Part-B papers will not be reviewed if they are not selected for further consideration.

UCEED Ranks 2026

Every shortlisted applicant receives a UCEED rank. The sum of the scores earned in Parts A and B will determine the final UCEED result. To prepare for the final outcome or rank, this total score will be involved. Every applicant who makes the shortlist will receive an All India Rank (AIR) based on common merit. Each hopeful on the shortlist is regarded as eligible for UCEED 2026. Keep in mind, nonetheless, that admission is not certain for every applicant who receives a rank in the UCEED 2026 test. The total marks (Part-A and Part-B merged) from the examination will be used to create the rank list.

UCEED 2026 Tie-Breaking Policy

If the total marks scored by two or more candidates are the same, then the following tie-break policy will be used for awarding ranks:

i. A higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Part B.

ii. If the criterion given in (i) does not break the tie, a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Section 2 of Part A.

iii. If the criteria (i) and (ii) do not break the tie, a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Section 1 of Part-A.

iv. If there is a tie even after this, the candidates will be assigned the same rank.

LPU is best if you want to study design through flexible learning. Between a general B.Design correspondence course and distance learning at LPU, the LPU option is better because it offers structured online classes, digital resources, expert faculty support, and industry-oriented assignments. LPU focuses on practical learning even in distance mode, helping students build design skills through projects, software training, and regular evaluations. Yes, candidates are allowed to use a pen and blank sheets of paper for rough work during the LPUNEST online proctored exam. The sheets must be completely blank before the test begins, and the proctor may request a webcam check of these sheets at any point. This ensures exam integrity while still giving students the flexibility to do necessary calculations.
