1. Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Potsahan (PM USP)

Eligibility Criteria for Scholarship

  • The student must be a citizen of India.

  • They must have completed class 12 from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate score of 80% in the chosen stream (Science, Commerce, or Humanities).

  • The student must be currently pursuing an undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) program in a professional discipline at a college/institution approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or any other relevant regulatory authority.

  • Must belong to a family with an annual income not exceeding INR 4.5 lakhs.

Scholarship Amount

  • For the 4th and 5th year of MBBS in regular courses: INR 12,000 per year.

  • Every year, only 82,000 students receive this scholarship.

  • In Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Potsahan (PM USP) scholarship, 50% are reserved for the girl child.

2. ONGC Scholarship Scheme

These scholarships provide full financial assistance for pursuing MBBS at premier institutions. These scholarships are provided to the SC, ST, OBC, and EWS students.

Eligibility Criteria for Scholarship

The eligibility criteria for the ONGC scholarship scheme are as follows:

  • The student must be a citizen of India.

  • They must have completed class 12 from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate score of 60% in the chosen stream.

  • Annual family income should not exceed INR 8 lakhs.

Scholarship Amount

  • In the ONGC Scholarship Scheme, the student will get INR 10,000 to INR 48,000 per year, which can be used for tuition fees or living expenses

Eligibility Criteria for Scholarship

The student can follow the eligibility criteria for the All India Pre-Medical Scholarship Test below:

  • The student’s annual family income from all sources should not exceed INR 4.5 lakhs.

  • Only students who passed class 12 in the year immediately preceding the application are eligible to apply.

  • The student must be under 26 years of age to avail this scholarship.
