Currently, there are 20 functional AIIMS in India where the classes take place. As per the expansionary plan, 5 new AIIMS are being constructed in Bihar, Haryana, Manipur, and Jammu & Kashmir. Here are some of the key highlights of the upcoming AIIMS institutes:
The latest upcoming AIIMS institutes are expected to have a seating capacity of around 50-125 seats for undergraduate MBBS courses, much like the newly established AIIMS campuses. However, the total number of seats for both UG and PG programs are likely to increase in the future.
The MBBS fee structures at the newest AIIMS is expected to range INR 7,000 – 10,000, making it affordable for the students.
As per the standard guidelines, the charges for hostel and other amenities in these institutes will be nominal, ranging between INR 1,000 and INR 4,000.

List of Newest AIIMS in India
Recently, the PM has inaugurated 5 more AIIMS across the country. The newest AIIMS are located at Bathinda (Punjab), Mangalagiri (Andhra Pradesh), Rajkot (Gujarat), Raebareli (Uttar Pradesh), and Kalyani (West Bengal). Check out the details regarding each of the AIIMS below:
AIIMS Mangalgiri
As per details, the AIIMS Mangalgiri campus is spread across 183.11 acres. The AIIMS Mangalagiri has been established with an investment of INR 16.18 billion. The AIIMS features a 960-bed hospital and a 125-seat medical college for students to take admission into.
AIIMS Raebareli
The AIIMS Raebareli was built with an investment of INR 8.23 billion. The institute includes a 610-bed hospital, a 100-seat medical college for students, and 12 operating theatres as of now.
AIIMS Rajkot
The AIIMS Rajkot campus is spread over 201 acres of land. The total cost of construction is estimated to be around INR 11.95 billion. As per infrastructure details, the AIIMS Rajkot is a 750-bed hospital with a 50-seat medical college for students.
AIIMS Bathinda
The campus of the AIIMS Bathinda is built on 177 acres of land. AIIMS Bathinda is a 750-bed institute with a medical and nursing college. The estimated construction cost is INR 9.25 billion.
AIIMS Kalyani
AIIMS Kalyani is a 960-bed hospital constructed across 179.82 acres of land. With regard to the infrastructure, AIIMS Kalyani includes a medical and a nursing college and an AYUSH block. The total project cost is estimated to be around INR 17.54 billion.
