Australian National University, commonly known as ANU, is a world-leading university situated in the capital city of Australia, Canberra. ANU was established on 1st August 1946 when the Bill to establish the University was passed by Federal Parliament. For over 70 years of its existence, Australian National University (ANU) has been making history in academics, awards and achievements, campus facilities, global engagements and many such fields. The Australian National University has been maintaining its position in the QS World Ranking in the list of top 25 universities. In the year 2016, the university was at 19th position, in 2017 it was at 22nd position, in 2018 at 20th and in 2019 at 24th position.
Infrastructure, Campus and Courses
The main campus of ANU is stretched across 358 acres of land. To award the lush green campus of Australian National University with over 10,000 trees grown on it, ANU won the International Sustainable Campus Network Award in the year 2009. In 2011, the university was ranked as the 2nd greenest university campus in Australia. The library of ANU holds over 2.5 million titles to its name, all of which, are the physical volumes that are distributed across six different branches. Two of the six sections are mostly accessible 24X7 for university students and the staff.
Accomplishments & Alumni
ANU has produced more number of Nobel Laureates than any other Australian university. The university does not only have Nobel Laureates alumni but also has faculty and staff members working with ANU with positions as high as Chief Executive Officer. Australian National University has a wide range of global engagement through which the work of the university becomes accessible to all the communities. It shows the intellectual leadership of the university that helps bring a transformational experience to different communities that Australian National University provides. This also reflects the values of ANU.

In several countries, ANU has exchange agreements with a number of partner universities. Many arrangements are on behalf of the university as a whole where they are a uni-wide exchange arrangement, while others are specific to discipline areas.
