Jamia Hamdard is a deemed-to-be university established in 1989 by the Hamdard National Foundation. The university is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as well as accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an A grade. The Jamia Hamdard University Delhi campus is spread across 100 acres. The university now has 384 faculty members and 9138 students enrolled in its various programs. It is also approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Jamia Hamdard courses are offered in more than 100 disciplines like B.Sc, B.A, B.Com, B.Tech, and MBBS, etc. Jamia Hamdard admissions are based on exams like CMAT/ MAT GMAT/ XAT/ GPAR/ ATMA/ GPAT/ JEE / NEET UG/ NEET PG. Jamia Hamdard Delhi was ranked 37th in the overall category by the NIRF in 2020.
