Langara College was established as a part of the Vancouver Community in 1965. In 1994, Langara College became an independent degree-granting college. It is located in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Today, Langara College is one of the leading institutions with approximately 23,000 undergraduate students annually. Langara College is not a private institution and holds accreditation from the Association of Canadian Community Colleges. It holds accreditation from CAFCE and is one of the only 3 institutions from British Columbia to receive this. The School of Nursing at Langara College holds accreditation from CASN (Canadian Association of School of Nursing).

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

Langara College has two campus locations Main Campus and West Broadway Centre. It is centrally located in Vancouver and surrounded by a great residential neighborhood. The campus holds 3-main buildings filled with classrooms, lecture halls, meeting spaces, creative studios, support services, and administration offices. It has all the facilities that a student can think of. It has a vast gym, library building, child development center for daycare of children between 19 months to 5 years of age. The highlight of the campus Is Studio 58 School of Theatre Arts. Langara College offers as many as 1000 courses to choose from. It offers more than 100 programs at the undergraduate level including Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, and Bachelors degrees. The most popular programs under Arts are Creative Writing, Film Arts, Photography, Design, etc. Other popular programs at Langara include Biology, Health Sciences, Computer Science, Data Science, etc.

Accomplishments & Alumni

Langara College and Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) have signed an international partnership in 2019. The partnership aims to explore academic training, the exchange of academic materials, collaborative research, and many other exchanges to benefit the students and research. Langara Alumni Community has more than 100,000 alumni from around the world. Some of the well-known alumni are Daniel Doheny Comedian, Gaurav Sharma Indian Author, Joey Haywood Basketball Player, Gary Mason Journalist, Ujjal Dosanjh Canadian Lawyer and many more.

Student Diversity & Visiting Companies

Roughly 16,000 students have opted to pursue academics at Langara College in the spring of 2020 of which 55% are women and 45% men. As of the 2019-20 fall intake, it holds an enrolment of 6268 international students representing over 95 countries from around the world. The largest number of international students comes from none other than India (3470 students). The average class size at Langara university is 60 students. Langara College enjoys a great network of employers. It has an employment rate of 95% and with superb salaries. The list of recruiters includes some of the well-reputed firms like Padtech Global Sourcing, Kiari Consulting, Painted Picture, Blackberry, IBM, and many more
