COVID-19 Response

With the view of keeping all students, staff and faculty on the Trent University, Peterborough campus, the university has introduced an appropriate COVID-19 response. Here are some of the latest updates regarding COVID-19 guidelines at Trent University, Peterborough.

  • Trent University is expecting to return to on-campus activities and in-person learning for this academic year. However, the university will also continue to offer an online option for those wishing to study remotely.

  • While in-person activities may resume this Fall semester, students, staff and faculty members along with the University will be asked to work together towards keeping the university and its stakeholders safe during such unprecedented times. For this, self-screening for those wishing to return to campus will be compulsory, while on-campus testing and wastewater surveillance will be conducted strictly.

  • Students expecting to live within the student accommodation on campus are required to be vaccinated using any one of the approved vaccines, which include Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD or Janssen/Johnson & Johnson. Students unable to receive their vaccines before arriving on campus will be supported by the Housing Services in receiving their vaccines before moving day in September, this year.

  • The university will also enhance its ventilation and air filtration, while also ensuring robust cleaning and sanitation processes.

  • Students, staff and faculty members are required to wear masks while on campus, with few exceptions, depending on the situation. Those aspiring to return to campus are advised and encouraged to keep a check on their health and symptoms and remain at home if any illnesses pop up.
