The University of Alberta is a public research university that was established in 1908. It is situated in Edmonton city, Alberta province of Canada and has four campuses in Edmonton (north main campus), and one campus in Camrose (Augustana Campus).The University of Alberta is ranked as number 96 in the world according to the Centre of World University Ranking (CWUR). It is also the fourth top university in Canada. It is recognised as one of the best research universities across the world. According to Research Infosource 2018 report, it is the fifth-best research University in Canada. It is the member university of U15 Universities (an association of 15 Canadian research universities) and World University Network (a non-profit group of 23 research universities from different countries).

University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada Scholarship

International Student Scholarships

Overseas students who have applied for admissions to one of the courses offered at the University of Alberta will be eligible for these scholarships based on their academic performance.

Value: $9,000

Applicable: No application required. Students are automatically considered at the time of admissions. The scholarships are only applicable to those students entering the first year of an undergraduate programme at the university.

Eligibility: Candidates will be selected for the scholarships if they display superior academics. Students must be studying under a Student Visa Permit as well.

Gold Standard Scholarship

Value: $6,000

Applicable: Top 5% of the students in each faculty will be offered the scholarship based on the admission average.

Eligibility: Students must display excellent academic performance.
 

University of Alberta International Country Scholarship

Value: $5,000

Applicable: Students who display excellent academic record will be considered for the scholarship. Candidates will be selected based on the region of the eligible candidate’s high school region.

Eligibility: Candidates must display a high academic record. They must also be studying under a Student Visa Permit.
 

University of Alberta International Entrance Citation

Value: $40,000 (payable over 4 years)

Applicable: Candidates need to submit applications to be eligible for this scholarship.

Eligibility: Students who display a superior admission average and have displayed leadership skills will be eligible for the scholarship. Candidates entering the first year of an undergraduate degree on a Student Visa Permit will only be considered.
 

University of Alberta Centenary Scholarship

Value: $30,000 (payable over 3 years)

Application: Candidates will be asked to submit an application to avail the scholarship.

Eligibility: Candidates who have displayed a superior admission average with good leadership skills will be eligible for the scholarships. Students entering the first year of an undergraduate degree will be considered.
 

International Leadership Scholarship

Value: $7,500

Application: Candidates are required to apply for this scholarship.

Eligibility: Students who are well-rounded and with an admission average of 80% or higher, entering the first year of an undergraduate degree at the university will be considered for the scholarship. Students studying on a Student Visa Permit will be assessed through various leadership roles and their accomplishments, for them to be considered for the scholarship.
