CBSE Class 12 English Sample Paper 2023-24: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) issued the CBSE Class 12 English Sample Paper for the academic year 2023-24 along with the CBSE class 12 marking scheme 2023-24. The board released the CBSE Class 12 Sample question Paper for English to help the students ace their class 12 board examination. The CBSE Class 12 English Sample Papers are prepared based on the latest CBSE Class 12 English Syllabus 2023-24 and CBSE 12th Exam Pattern 2023-24. Solving the CBSE Class 12 English Sample Paper can help the students delve deeper into the types of questions, difficulty level of the questions asked, and marking scheme.

The CBSE Class 12 English exam 2024 will be conducted for a total of 100 marks. Out of the total marks, 80 marks will be allotted for the theory paper, and the remaining 20 marks will be evaluated based on the internal assessment. As per the latest modified CBSE class 12 syllabus, there will be 20% MCQ type questions, 40% competency-based questions, and the remaining 40% questions will be short answers and long answer type questions based on constructive responses. The CBSE Class 12 English question paper will comprise three sections, Reading, Writing, and Literature. A total of 22 marks will be in the Reading section, 18 marks in the Writing section, and 40 marks will be in the Literature section. Students will get a maximum of 3 hours to complete the CBSE Class 12 English paper. To download the CBSE Class 12 English sample paper, follow the steps mentioned below:

• Step 1: Navigate the official website of CBSE - cbseacademic.nic.in.
• Step 2: On the homepage, you will find the option "Sample Question Paper".
• Step 3: From the dropdown list of the Sample Question Paper Option, select the year of CBSE Sample Question Paper that you want to download.
• Step 4: Thereafter, from the list of Class X or Class XII, Select the Class XII option.
• Step 5: A new window will appear on screen where you find the subject-wise CBSE Class 12 Sample Question Papers.
• Step 6: Select the subject ‘English’ and download the CBSE 12 English Sample Question Paper.
• Step 7: Save the question papers for your preparation.

CBSE Class 12 English Sample Paper 2023-24: Check Details

• The theory paper of CBSE class 12 English exam will be held for 80 marks.
• The total exam duration will be 3 hours, an extra 15 minutes will be given for reading the question paper.
• The paper will be divided into three sections, READING, WRITING and LITERATURE.
• All the questions in the CBSE class 12 English question paper will be compulsory. However, internal choices will be provided.
• The section A will comprise of 18 marks.
• Section B will consist of 22 marks.
• A total of 40 marks will be there in section C.
• The CBSE class 12 English question paper will have 13 questions in total.
• There will be no negative marking for any wrong answer.
