Qualifications for MCA course admissions can vary from state to state and depend on the type of categoryies the students fall into. It is paramount that applicants for the MCA course clearly understand their respective MCA course eligibility.

MCA - Karnataka (General)

  1. The eligibility criteria for Students from Karnataka General Quota is a 50% aggregate & above in graduation
  2. The student needs to secure 50% aggregate In Maths / Statistics / Comp.Sc./ Comp. Prog. / Comp. Applic. / Bus. Maths / Bus. Stats.(Either At 10 + 2 or Degree Level) to be eligible for MCA admissions

MCA - Karnataka (SC / ST / CAT-1)

  1. The eligibility criteria for Students from Karnataka SC/ ST/ CAT- 1 Quota is a 45% aggregate & above in graduation
  2. The student needs to secure 45% aggregate In Maths / Statistics / Comp.Sc. / Comp. Prog. / Comp. Applic. / Bus.Maths / Bus. Stats.(Either At 10 + 2 or Degree Level) to be eligible for MCA admissions

MCA - Non - Karnataka

  1. The eligibility criteria for non - Karnataka students is a 50% aggregate & Above in Graduation
  2. The student needs a 50% aggregate In Maths / Statistics / Comp. Sc./Comp.Prog. / Comp.Applic. / Business Maths / Business Stats.(Either At 10 + 2 or Degree Level)to be considered eligible for MCA admissions course at AIMS Institutes, Bangalore

The students of MCA course come from various academic backgrounds and there is scope for them to get acquainted with the course curriculum as well as to interact with and learn from their classmates and peers.  The prospective applicant must satisfy one of the following eligibility criteria for admissions to the MBA programme.

  • A graduate degree under 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern under any discipline, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate, from a recognized university.
  • An honors degree under 10+2+4 pattern from a recognized university under UGC Act with at least 50% marks in aggregate including languages
  • Candidates who have passed Bachelor/ Master degree through correspondence / Open University System from this university or from any other university, recognized by law, are exempted from 10+2 pattern. The duration of the degree programme must be 3 + 2 years.

Important

  • Candidates who pass bachelor/master degree in any university system in single sitting pattern are not eligible for admission to the MBA programme offered by AIMS Institutes, Bangalore
  • In case of SC / ST / Category I candidates, there is a relaxation of 5% in the aggregate of marks obtained in the University Exams
  • The MBA admission criteria are based on the valid score of MBA PGCET / CAT / MAT / ATMA or any state-approved admission test.
  • Students seeking admission to MBA degree at AIMS Institutes must adhere to the guidelines of eligibility prior to sending in their application forms to us. All applications which do not meet our MBA selection criteria listed above will not be entertained.

For Admission in MTM

AIMS Institutes MTM Admission 2019

 Graduates with 50% in aggregate (45% for SC / ST caste) are eligible for Masters in Travel & Tourism Management. Students pursuing MTTM from AIMS Institutes, Bangalore come across a very eventful curriculum. There are a lot of activities that a student of MTTM can participate in as part of their curriculum. There are field trips to all the exotic locations around the country to get a feel of how the tourism administrative industry functions. First-hand experience with the staff and professionals at the various tourist-points gives them an academic edge over others as to what is the current trend in the industry.

The eligibility criteria for Hotel Management, is as follows: - Passing Higher secondary
- 10 + 2
- PUC or

For Admission in PhD

AIMS Institutes PhD Admission 2019

  1. A candidate shall have Masters Degree or any other Degree / Diploma of the University or any other Degree / Diploma of any other University / Institution recognized as equivalent thereto, with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) or an equivalent Grade. However, this condition is relaxed to 50% in case of :
    1. SC/ST/Cat-I candidates.
    2. In service candidates with a minimum of five years of regular experience associated with teaching profession as teachers/ library professionals/ physical education instructors/ laboratory staff in educational institutions
  2. ENTRANCE TEST: Admission to Ph.D. shall be through an Entrance Test.

    Applications for Entrance Test shall be invited only once a year and the entrance test is conducted generally during September / October. The Registrar (Evaluation) shall invite application from the eligible candidates. The Entrance Test shall consist of one paper on the broad area of Ph.D of 100 marks with 3 hours duration. Syllabus of the paper shall be framed by the respective Boards of Studies based on UGC / CSIR National Eligibility Test (NET) pattern. The question paper shall contain 50 objective type questions of one mark each, and essay type / short answer questions for 50 marks. For candidates intending to do inter / multidisciplinary research, the Entrance Test shall be a common Entrance test in a general paper and the syllabus of the paper shall be framed by the Inter / Multidisciplinary Board of Studies. A candidate securing at least 55 marks out of 100 (50 marks out of 100 i.e 50% in case of SC/ST candidates) in the Entrance Test shall be declared as eligible to apply for admission to Ph.D.

    It should be noted that successful completion of entrance test just implies the eligibility of a candidate for admission to Ph.D. degree in the University, but shall not guarantee an admission to Ph.D. degree program. The results of the Entrance Test shall be declared by the Registrar (Evaluation) who shall issue the eligibility certificate to successful candidates in the Entrance Test. The eligibility certificate shall be valid for one year from the date of the entrance test till the next entrance test is notified. The process of entrance test is applicable to all candidates who intend to pursue research leading to Ph.D. degree and it shall be conducted for all research centers coming under the University by the Department concerned.

  3. A candidate shall be guided by a Research Guide recognized by the University in the concerned subject. In case where the research of a candidate is inter/multi-disciplinary in nature, the candidate may opt for a Co-guide, who shall also be a recognized Guide of the University in the concerned or related subject. However, the main responsibility of supervising the research work is vested with the Guide and the candidate shall finalize and submit the thesis through the Guide giving due acknowledgment and credit to the Co-guide which shall also be mentioned in the Ph.D. Notification by the Registrar (Evaluation) after successful completion of Ph.D
  4. Candidates who have qualified for UGC / CSIR JRF fellowships through UGC / CSIR NET Examinations are exempted from Entrance test. Candidates who have completed M. Phil course are also exempted from the entrance test provided the M. Phil course was through an entrance exam. Such candidates who hold fellowships / Scholarships can apply directly to the Registrar (Evaluation) whenever they become eligible by obtaining the consent/acceptance letter from the guide, if vacancies are available.
