Chettinad Academy of Research and Education Medical Selection Criteria

Students aspiring to seek admission to the college must clear NEET and should have obtained a score in the exam.

The counseling process is conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC).

Students must obtain a minimum percentage of marks in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by the National Testing Agency. 

For the Chettinad Academy of Research and Education MD Courses, the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) must have been satisfactorily completed on or before 31st March the previous year. Students who have completed their internship after 31st March of the previous year shall be intelligible to participate at any stage of the admission process. 

The student must have studied and completed the MBBS Degree course from any recognized medical college included in the schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, and must have obtained a Registration Certificate permanent with the Medical Council of India or any other State Medical Councils.

• For BPT, the students must have English, Chemistry, and Physics as their core subjects, along with any of Botany, biology, and Zoology as additional subjects. 
• For B.Arch., interested candidates must have Chemistry, Math, and Physics; must graduate the 10+3 diploma exam having math as a core subject. Candidates must also appear for the JEE/ NATA examination. 
• For Law, candidates must appear for CLAT/LSAT examination. 
• For Chettinad Academy of Research and Education B.Pharm, course candidates must have graduated with Physics, Chemistry, and Math as their core subjects. Biology and Computer Science students can also opt for this course. 
• For CARE Chengalpattu B.Sc Nursing course candidates must have Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and English as their subjects in previous education platforms. 
• The candidates for the aforementioned course must also be of 17 years of age and medically proven to be fit. 
• For the Post Basic Nursing course, the candidate must be registered under the State Nurse Registration Council. 
• Male nurses need to bring evidence of training approved by the Indian Nursing Council. 
• Candidates interested in the Chettinad Academy of Research and Education MBBS course should be of any age between 17-25 years with 5 years of relaxation reserved for the SC/ST category students.  

Chettinad Academy of Research and Education Eligibility Criteria for PG

• Interested Law candidates must appear for CLAT/ LSAT exams. 
• Candidates opting for Master of Physiotherapy must have a BPT from any recognized institute. 
• Candidates who are interested in M.Sc. Nursing must be registered under the Nursing Registration Council. 
• Applicants for Chettinad Academy of Research and Education M.Sc Nursing course must have scored 55% of the aggregate score as a minimum percentage in their graduation studies. 
• Prospective candidates must have one year of experience as a minimum criterion after B.Sc. Nursing. 
• Candidates should be mentally fit in order to get admitted to the aforementioned course. 

Chettinad Academy of Research and Education Admission for International Students 2023

In the case of a foreign national, the Medical Council of India may, on payment of the prescribed fee for registration, grant temporary registration, for the duration of the post-graduate course limited to the medical college, to which the candidate is admitted for the time being, exclusively for pursuing postgraduate studies. 

Provided further the temporary registration of such foreign nationals shall be subject to the condition that such person is duly registered with appropriate registering authority in their own country, from where one has obtained a basic medical qualification and is duly recognized by the corresponding Medical Council or concerned authority. 

Overseas citizens of India intending to pursue MBBS/ BDS from a foreign Medical/ Dental Institute also need to qualify NEET (UG).

The Chettinad Academy of Research and Education admission process for the year 2023 has not started yet. The application process would start in July 2023 tentatively. 

Reportedly, the last date of the admission process will be in August 2023, tentatively.

Chettinad Academy of Research and Education Chengalpattu LLM Hons. Eligibility Criteria 2023

• The candidate must be a graduate in Law with a bachelor’s degree or any equivalent examination.
• A minimum of 50% of the aggregate score is required for students belonging to the general/OBC category. 
• A minimum of 45% of the aggregate score is required for students belonging to the SC/ST category. 

The interested candidate must be over17 years of age as of the current academic year-end. 

Candidate must have passed the higher secondary examination or its equivalent with the following subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry, and optionally from one of these: Botany, Zoology, or Biology. 

Candidates who have successfully completed their B.P.T. from a recognized university can apply to this course offered. 

• Candidate should have obtained passing marks in 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and with English as one of the subjects and Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics (P.C.M), and or Biology (P.C.B / P.C.M.B.) as optional subjects are individual. 
• The student may possess any other qualifications approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above-mentioned examinations will also be taken into consideration. 
• Obtaining pass marks in the D. Pharm course from any institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India which is under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.

The student should have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission. All students planning to take admission must have passed HSC/CBSE/ICSE in subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany and Zoology, and English individually.

Chettinad Academy of Research and Education Chengalpattu B.Sc. Nursing Eligibility Criteria 2023

The student should have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) and English individually. They should have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination i.e., (10+2) from any recognized Board under AISSE/CBSE/ICSE/SSC/HSC or other equivalent Board.

For the candidates belonging to SC/ ST or other backward classes, 40% of marks in PCB subjects must be obtained by the student.

A fitness certificate from an authorized medical officer that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the academic course needs to be submitted at the time of admission.

Chettinad Academy of Research and Education Chengalpattu M.Sc. Nursing Eligibility Criteria 2023

• The candidate must compulsorily be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife of equivalence registered with any State Nursing Registration Council.
• The minimum qualifications required by students are passing of B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc.Hons. Nursing/ Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with not less than 55% aggregate marks from an institution that is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
• 5% relaxation of marks will be given for SC/ ST candidates.
• One year of work experience after basic B.Sc. Nursing.
