The institute's admission process begins with online registration through the official college website. Aspirants who wish to study at G. B. Pant Institute of Technology (GBPIT) can apply for admission in any of its courses offered through the institute's 5 academic departments, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Production and Automobile. GBPIT has also started offering B.VOC programmes (affiliated to GGSIP University). On the other hand, admission to Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc) course is done based on a candidate's rank in the entrance test conducted by Guru Gobind Singh I.P. University.

The application form can be obtained online from the official website of the college and candidates must attach photocopies of the required documents with the filled-in application form. After that, candidates must pay the application fee, which can be done through Debit/Credit card /Internet banking/Challan/ college Cash Receipt.
