• The admissions to all colleges affiliated with the University of Delhi have a changed criterion implemented from the 2023 session. 

• Earlier, the admissions were based solely on a cut off which was based on the percentage obtained by the students in Class 12. 
• However, the Gargi College admission will now be based on entrance exams. For the undergraduate courses, the aspiring candidates will have to clear the CUET (Common University Entrance Test). 
• The CUET will be conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency). Moreover, the final seats will be allotted to students through a centralised seat allocation forum which is the CSAS (Common Seat Allocation System). 
• For the Gargi College PG courses, admissions will be done through the DUET (Delhi University Entrance Test). 
• Apart from the entrance exams, the Gargi College admission criteria will also evaluate the Class 12 percentages and the Bachelor’s percentages. 

Now that the CUET result is declared, Gargi College will begin with its individual Registration Process and Counselling Rounds. Students will have to register with Gargi College where they are seeking admission through CUET. DU has already activated the CSAS portal for the same.The Common Seat Allocation System or the CSAS is the portal where students are required to register for UG admissions to all DU-affiliated colleges.Below we mention the detailed process for Gargi College course admissions through CSAS:

• The Common Seat Allocation System 2022 will be conducted in 3 phases.
• The first phase will be to apply to Delhi University.
• The second phase will be the selection of the preferred colleges. 
• The third phase will be the allotment of seats followed by admission. 
• You must fill in as many choices of your preferred colleges and courses on the CSAS Portal as possible. This is to ensure that you do not face any problems while seat allotment. 
• There will also be a Mid-Entry window which will open after the second round of seat allotment. As of now, this will be a one-time window only. If needed, DU might consider reopening it. There will also be a provision of 30% additional admissions in the Reserved Category seats in the first round as well. 
• In the first phase, you will also have to pay an application fee depending on the category you belong to. The Gargi College application fee amount is as follows:
• The students of UR/OBC/EWS/NCL categories will have to pay the application fee of Rs 250.
• Students from the SC/ST/PWD students will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100. 
• Admissions will be accepted only through CSAS Portal 2022. The details you filled in the CUET UG form will automatically reflect during your CSAS procedure.
• The second phase will start after the CUET results are announced. The results have now been declared on cuet.samarth.ac.in. on September 16, 2022. Therefore, now you will have to select your preferences of colleges and courses in the correct order of preference. 
• In the third phase, seats will be allotted to students based on the CUET result 2022 scores. 
• You must accept the seat before the mentioned deadlines. 
• If you fail to accept the seat, it will be considered a Decline. 
• Also, if a student is offered more than one seat, then he or she should select only the one he or she wishes to, among them.

Gargi College admission process through registration on the Common Application Portal

• Every, the University of Delhi, (DU) opens a common application portal when it opens admissions for its constituent colleges. The aspiring candidates are to register themselves on this portal first. 

• The admission portal is different for the UG and PG courses. 
• After registering on the respective portals, students need to fill out an online application form. 
• While submitting the form, students need to upload documents like Class 10 and Class 12 certificates, identity proof, photographs, etc. 
• Once registered, students can log in anytime to check their status of the application.

Gargi College admission process through registration for the CUET

It is important that students register themselves for the CUET exam since it is a compulsory step in the Gargi College admission 2023 criteria. The steps for the CUET registration are as follows:

• Visit the official website of CUET that is cuet.samarth.ac.in

• Click on the “Register” tab and register for the CUET 2023 exam.
• Fill out the application form with all your personal and academic details.
• Upload all necessary documents in the correct size and formats.
• Make the application fee payment. It can be done via Debit/Credit card, net banking or UPI. 
• Save and download the duly filled form. You can also take out a printout for future reference.

3. A photo identity proof including Adhaar Card, Ration Card, etc.
4. Scanned images of student's sign, photo, Class 10, and, Class 12 mark sheets.

Gargi College admission process through registration for the DUET 

• Visit the official website of DUET which is www.du.ac.in.

• Click on the Registration tab and register by entering all personal and academic details.
• Fill in a valid email id along with a password.
• Click on the “Register” button.
• Enter the username and password on the admission portal of the official DUET website.
• Click on “PG Admission Portal 2023” for respective admissions.
• Fill out all the details in the application form and click on “Submit”.
• Upload all the required documents like scanned photographs, signature, mark sheets, caste certificate, etc. 
• Pay the application fee and submit your form.
• Save and download the form. 

• Once the students have registered themselves on the Common Application Portal of DU and on the CUET portal, the next step would be to attempt the entrance tests. 
• The Gargi College entrance exam for the undergraduate courses will be the CUET (Common University Entrance Test) and that for the PG courses will be the DUET (Delhi University Entrance Test).
• The seats for the UG courses will be allotted by the CSAS (Common Seat Allocation System). 
• For this, students will have to fill out the CSAS application form through the central admission portal. This will also require payment of the non-refundable application fee. The Gargi College admission fees for the ECA and sports quota candidates while filling this form will have some additional charges.
• Once the CUET results 2023 will be released, students will have to select their preferred courses on the centralised portal of the CSAS.
• Thereafter, a merit list based on the CUET results will be result for seat allotment.

• Students must accept the seat allotment before the given deadline to avoid failure of Gargi College admission. 
• After this, the university will verify the documents and confirm admission upon payment of fees. 
• For the PG courses, students can seek either merit-based admission or will have to clear the DUET exam.
• If the students have completed their Bachelor’s from any college affiliated with the University of Delhi, they can seek merit-based admission.
• The candidates who have completed their Bachelor’s from a college outside the DU or in a different subject will have to clear the DUET exam.
