The selection of students for the course of BJMC at the International Institute of Mass Media is done on the basis of an entrance exam that is conducted by the institute itself. Candidates who are interested to apply for the course of Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication at IIMM will have to fill and submit the application form for the course and then they will be required to sit for the entrance test. Students are permitted to appear for the entrance test only if they have cleared the eligibility criteria set for the course by the institute. The candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria of MJMC at IIMM are permitted to give the entrance exam. A merit list is prepared after the results of the entrance exam are declared and students are called for the admission process at IIMM according to the marks they score in the entrance test. 

The eligibility criteria for the postgraduate diploma course in Advertising Public Relations and Marketing at IIMM are the same as that of MJMC. Students have to complete their graduation before they can apply for the PGDAPRM course at IIMM. The university from which they receive their bachelor’s degree must be recognised by the UGC or any other agency. Students can apply for this programme even if they are in their final year and are yet to give their end semester exams.
