BSC(hons)or BCA or BE/BTech or MSC or MCA or Mtech with minimum 50% Overall marks are only eligible for the course. Degrees should be from any recognized University. BE/Btech in any branch shall be eligible. BSC(hons) and MSC in Physics,Mathematics, Statistics. Electronics,computer Science etc will be eligible from any recognized University.Physics and Mathemaics background should be there to pursue the course.BSC(hons) in Bio science and Economics will not be eligible.

The minimum qualification for admission is a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 system) in any discipline from any University recognized by the University of Calcutta. 

The selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of a Written Examination which will be followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The full marks for the written test will be 100 and the duration is 3 hours. 

The maximum number of seats for the Course is 30 with reservation for SC and ST categories according to the norms of the University of Calcutta. 

Working executives (BE/ BTECH/ ME/ MTECH/ Post graduate in Science or Management/ Diploma Engineers or equivalent).

Persons who are appearing for Certified Energy Manager/ Auditor (CEM/ CEA) Examination of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency.

Honours candidates or equivalent courses where Honours are not available, from a recognized university; Graduates in any professional course (Engineering, etc.) LL.B (5 years) of a recognized University are also eligible. Those who will be appearing in such examinations may also apply. The CAT scores of the applicants is obtained from the IIM admission committee. On the basis of a cut-off mark of the CAT score, the candidates are called for group discussion and interview at IISWBM Calcutta. The final list of the selected candidates will be prepared strictly on the basis of merit.
