JCT College of Engineering and Technology Admission

There are more than 15 different courses available for the JCT College of Engineering and Technology admissions under various different streams and domains and are carried out on the basis of TNEA counselling (Tamil Naidu Engineering Admissions) by the Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu. The candidates have to fulfil the eligibility requirements to become eligible for the JCT Coimbatore admissions.

JCT College of Engineering and Technology Eligibility Criteria

B.Tech Programmes

  1. Applicants need to score at least 50% marks for the open category and 45% for the reserved category (depending on the category) in the previous qualifying exam.
  2. One needs to complete the 12th standard from a college or university recognised by the Government of India.
  3. Students from any discipline or stream can apply, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry together or else (Math or Physics or Chemistry) in vocational theory and practical
  4. Students need to clear the internal assessment procedures such as academic performance, entrance and written test scores, interview performance and co-curricular achievements. Or else, appear for the TNEA (Tamil Naidu Engineering Admissions) counselling, facilitated by the Directorate of Technical Education of Tamil Nadu for students to get the counselling seats on per merit basis.

Master of Technology 

  1. Applicants need to score at least 50% marks for the open category and 45% for the reserved category (depending on the category) in the previous qualifying exam.
  2. One needs to complete B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical/Industrial/Automobile/Mechatronics/Production/Manufacturing/Marine) from a college or university recognised by the Government of India.
  3. Students need to clear the internal assessment procedures such as academic performance, entrance and written test scores, interview performance and co-curricular achievements. Or else, appear for the TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) facilitated by Anna University to avail of the counselling seats as per merit basis.

Bachelor of Technology (Lateral Entry)

  1. Applicants need to score at least 50% marks in aggregate for the open category and 45% or lesser for the reserved category (depending on the category) in the previous qualifying exam.
  2. One needs to complete the 12th standard from a college or university recognised by the Government of India.
  3. Students from any discipline or stream can apply, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry together or else (Math or Physics or Chemistry) in vocational theory and practical.

Diploma Programmes

  1. Applicants need to score at least 50% marks in aggregate for the open category and 45% or lesser for the reserved category (depending on the category) in the previous qualifying board
  2. One needs to complete the 10th standard from a college or university recognised by the Government of India.
  3. Apply online through the direct admission procedure.
  4. Students need to clear the internal assessment procedures such as academic performance, entrance and written test scores, interview performance and co-curricular achievements. Or else, appear for the counselling and avail the seat as per merit basis (candidates need to enquire via the official website).
