A candidate must have passed pre-university examination in the Arts, Science / Commerce by Department of Pre University Education, Karnataka state or its equivalent as recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Be medically fit [Should produce a medical fitness certificate] from a recognized licensed physician. Must have a good personal and professional record and have working knowledge of English

Passed B.Sc. Nursing [Basic] or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree or Postcertificate B.Sc. Nursing of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences,Karnataka [RGUHS], or any other university accepted as equivalent by RajivGandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, and must have obtained aminimum of not less than 55% aggregate marks in respect of candidatesbelonging to scheduled caste and scheduled tribe, the aggregate marks obtained be not less than 50% instead of 55% as above.
Have a minimum of 1 year of experience after obtaining B.Sc., Nursing(Basic) or minimum of one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree or Post Certificate B.Sc. Nursing [completed before 2009] in a hospital or Nursing Educational Institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing council.

The candidate seeking admission must:

• Hold a diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)
• Be a registered nurse and midwife
• Have passed pre-university examination in the Arts, Science / Commerce by Department of Pre University Education, Karnataka state or its equivalent as recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
• Be medically fit [Should produce a medical fitness certificate] from a recognized licensed physician.
• Have a good personal and professional record
• Have working knowledge of English
