Admissions at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth

Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth was established with a vision to impart quality education with a curriculum that is pertinent to student growth. With various undergraduate, post-graduate and doctoral programs across many disciplines- it is doing remarkable service in the sector of Higher Education. Through Entrance Exams (JEE main, CAT, CMAT, LMAT, NATA, LET) - Candidates wishing to acquire admission into various courses for which there are compulsory entrance tests like the ones mentioned above will be required to register and apply for the respective entrance examinations. Post declaration of the entrance test score, they will have to appear for counselling and the courses and seats will be allotted based on their performance in the entrance tests.

International Admissions - The application and admission procedure for international students are a little different than local candidates.

As per the University guidelines, international students are:

Foreign Students: Students with valid passports, including people of Indian origin who have a different nationality.

Non-Resident Indians: Students who have studied and passed the qualifying examinations from schools or colleges in foreign countries will be included as international students under the NRI category. This will include students studying in the schools or colleges in foreign countries even if they are affiliated to Boards of Secondary Education or Universities located in India, but will not include students studying in those schools or colleges (situated in India) and affiliated to the Board of Secondary Education or Universities of the foreign countries.

Entry-level status of International students on entry to the country will be maintained throughout the tenure of the course, i.e., if the applicant entered the country through a student’s visa, it will remain the same throughout the duration of the course. The applicant cannot change the type of visa during the course of study. Wards of NRI parents are eligible for admissions to the NRI category.

Lingaya's Vidyapeeth Admission Process for International Students

These are the procedures to be followed compulsorily by an International student seeking admissions

Step 1: Students should purchase the International Student’s Bulletin (including the eligibility form) and the prospectus of the University. This information is also available on the website.

Step 2: Fill up the online application form for international students and submit it, along with the copies of certificates mentioned and the required fees. This should be done well in the time so that the student is able to obtain the visa and NOC before the commencement of the course after completion of the admission process.

Step 3: Get the provisional admission letter from the International student's cell, in order to obtain the student visa.

Step 4: Produce the document of provisional admission to the Indian Embassy in the respective country and get a student visa endorsed to the institution/university.

Step 5: Report to the university for admission. Fill the permanent admission form and submit it along with the following documents (in original along with a Xerox copy)

•   Mark/Grade statement of the qualifying examination.
•   Transfer/school leaving certificate from the institute/University last attended.
•   Nationality Certificate in case of NRI/PIO/F N Nationality Certificate of Guardian in case of P.I.O.
•   A Xerox copy of their passport- duly attested by a notary.
•   Physical fitness certificate from a registered physician.
•   Certificate from the owner /Head of the Institute starting the length of service & Total emoluments if guardian if in service in a foreign country.
•   Income certificate from a competent authority, in case the guardians are self-employed.

Step 6: Undergo medical examination and obtain a medical fitness certificate. As per government rule, all international students entering India on student visas have to be tested for HIV and will not be given admission, if found to be positive. All International students will be required to pay medical fees of USD 50, which includes the medical insurance cover for the first year. For subsequent years, the medical fees will be the same as for the other Indian students and is included in yearly fees.

Step 7: Appear for the proficiency test in English. This is only applicable if the qualifying examination is not in the English medium.

Step 8: Admission of International students will be confirmed only after verification of original certificates, medical fitness test, and payment of required fees.

Step 9: Within a week of arrival in India, register with the FRRO of the local police.

•   The registration and application process for admissions into various courses for the academic session 2022-2023 have commenced, the details and the form are available on the University website.
•   The JEE main 2022 brochure has been released. The application form will be released session-wise – March session- last week of January, April session- last week of March, May session- last week of April, June session- last week of May- 2022. The dates are tentative and may be subject to change as per the regulatory body.
•   The dates for NATA 2022 are – applications and corrections by the 3rd week of April to the 4th week of May. Admit card hosting – April to June 2022, Date of examination- April to June 2022, Publication of results- 2nd week of June 2022.
•   The CMAT registration dates have begun from the last week of January. The last date to fill the form is the Second week of March, the CMAT exam will be held in the Last week of March.

The admission process at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth is quite easy and simple. Candidates can reach out to the admission cell at any point of time if they face any difficulty in the admission process.
