NID Kurukshetra admission 2024 for the B.Des programme requires students to take the NID DAT exam. On March 28, 2024, NID DAT 2024 Prelims results is to be published. NID DAT Mains exam is to be conducted from March 3, 2024 to April 28, 2024 for B.Des admission atNID Kurukshetra. The selection of students is done on the basis of DAT scores.

The National Institute of Design Haryana (NID Haryana), also known as the National Institute of Design Kurukshetra (NID Kurukshetra), was established in 2016. With the aim of becoming one of the top centres for design education and research worldwide, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, established this autonomous institution. NID Haryana has received approval from the AICTE, the AIU, and the Indian Government. The institute seeks to establish the benchmark for cutting-edge design trends in the commercial, industrial and development sectors.

NID Haryana offers a bachelor of design (B.Des) degree that lasts four years and has three specialisations. Industrial design, communication design, and textile and apparel design are the course specialisations offered by NID Kurukshetra. The course curriculum takes into consideration the shifting trends and requirements of the industry to keep up and ensure students get updated training and education. The National Institute of Design Haryana admissions fees for the B.Des course is Rs 10.36 lakh for four years.

The National Institute of Design Haryana admission process is straightforward and mostly completed online. Candidates must register on the NID's central admission site (admissions.nid.edu). The processes for filling out the NID Haryana application form are listed below.

  • Visit the central admission site of NID (admissions.nid.edu).

NID Kurukshetra Selection Process 2024

The four-year, eight-semester B.Des programme is offered by the National Institute of Design in Haryana. There are three specialisations available. Admission in NID Kurukshetra is based on the applicant's prior academic merit as well as a passing score on the entrance exam. The entrance exam accepted for admission to the B.Des programme is the NID DAT (Design Aptitude Test) test. The NID DAT exam is conducted in two parts namely the DAT Prelims and the DAT Mains. The question paper of DAT Prelims consists of two portions, Aptitude (weightage - 30%) and Design (weightage - 70%). The aptitude portion includes a variety of questions on quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, general knowledge, current affairs and English. The language of the test is English as well. Candidates for the B.Des degreemight also have a Studio Test portion in the DAT Mains. Aspirants are given practical assignments to accomplish in the allotted time during the studio test for NID admissions.
