NID Kurukshetra admission 2024 for the B.Des programme requires students to take the NID DAT exam. On March 28, 2024, NID DAT 2024 Prelims results is to be published. The National Institute of Design Haryana (NID Haryana), also known as the National Institute of Design Kurukshetra (NID Kurukshetra), was established in 2016. With the aim of becoming one of the top centres for design education and research worldwide, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, established this autonomous institution. NID Haryana has received approval from the AICTE, the AIU, and the Indian Government. The institute seeks to establish the benchmark for cutting-edge design trends in the commercial, industrial and development sectors.

NID Haryana offers a bachelor of design (B.Des) degree that lasts four years and has three specialisations. Industrial design, communication design, and textile and apparel design are the course specialisations offered by NID Kurukshetra. The course curriculum takes into consideration the shifting trends and requirements of the industry to keep up and ensure students get updated training and education. The National Institute of Design Haryana admissions fees for the B.Des course is Rs 10.36 lakh for four years.

The institute was founded as a liberal education system based on workshop and studio learning, academic instruction, and practical training. The NID Kurukshetra admission criteria include students' prior academic merit and a valid entrance exam result. The NID DAT (Design Aptitude Test) is the entrance exam accepted for admission to the B.Des programme. To further proceed with the National Institute of Design Kurukshetra admission procedure candidates must have at least 50% in their 10+2 qualifying examination from a recognised board. Candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD, etc.) must have at least 45% in their 10+2 qualifying exam. The seat intake of the NID Kurukshetra is 25 each for each specialisation.

The National Institute of Design Haryana admission process is straightforward and mostly completed online. Candidates must register on the NID's central admission site (admissions.nid.edu). The processes for filling out the NID Haryana application form are listed below.

• Visit the central admission site of NID (admissions.nid.edu).
• Sign up using your email ID and mobile number, for admission.
• Fill out the application form and log in with the registered mobile number.
• Give basic information about yourself, such as your name, birthdate, address, gender, etc.
• Click on Save and Proceed.
• Upload required documents in jpg/ jpeg format (recent colour passport size photo, scanned signature, caste certificate).
• Click on Save and Proceed to pay the NID application fee.
• Candidates have the option to "save and exit" the form so that they can finish it later.

For general category students and students in reserved categories, the National Institute of Design Kurukshetra application fee is Rs 2,000 and Rs 1,000, respectively. The application fee payment can be done online through credit/ debit card or offline through demand draft (DD). The NID DAT (Design Aptitude Test) is the entrance exam accepted for the National Institute of Design Kurukshetra B.Des admission process. The DAT Prelims and DAT Mains are the two levels at which this exam is conducted. Only those who successfully complete the DAT Prelims are eligible for the DAT Mains. The National Institute of Design (NID) is the conducting body of the test that lasts three hours.

The final NID DAT result weightage for the B.Des course at the National Institute of Design Haryana is 40% on DAT Prelims and 60% on DAT Mains.

The four-year, eight-semester B.Des programme is offered by the National Institute of Design in Haryana. There are three specialisations available. Admission in NID Kurukshetra is based on the applicant's prior academic merit as well as a passing score on the entrance exam. The NID DAT exam is conducted in two parts namely the DAT Prelims and the DAT Mains. The question paper of DAT Prelims consists of two portions, Aptitude (weightage - 30%) and Design (weightage - 70%). The aptitude portion includes a variety of questions on quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, general knowledge, current affairs and English. The language of the test is English as well. Candidates for the B.Des degreemight also have a Studio Test portion in the DAT Mains.
