NIT Mizoram Admission 2024 - Dates, Form, Online Process, Fees

NIT Mizoram admission 2024 is ongoing. Students willing for BTech admission shall qualify JEE Main 2024 exam which will be held from April 4 - April 15, 2024. Those students who are willing to get admission in the MTech programme shall appear and qualify the GATE 2024 which is scheduled on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024.

The admission process at the NIT Mizoram is different for domestic and international students as they both have to submit different sets of documents for their confirmed entry to the institute. NIT Mizoram International Admission 2024

The Office of International Admission is the nodal point of admission to the University for international students. After going through the eligibility criteria for the courses, the students must obtain an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) through their website. 

The students are then advised to send the following documents to AIU to obtain an Equivalence Certificate-

• Degree/Certificate and the year-wise Academic Transcript duly authenticated by the Indian Embassy in the Country or its concerned Foreign Mission in India.
• Accreditation status of the University/Institute which the student has last attended.
• Copies of the academic Certificates from Higher Secondary onwards (where necessary)

All Foreign / NRI students must register with the concerned District Foreigners Registration Officer / Foreigners Regional Registration Officers within 14 days of their first arrival in India.

To complete the admission process, the student must report to the Office of International Admissions to complete admission/Foreigner's Regional Registration Office (FRRO) formalities.

The application process for NIT Mizoram is discussed below:

• Walk-in inquiries: Candidates or students seeking admission at the NIT Mizoram can walk into the campus and head to the admission cell to get the admission form. The candidate can also clear any doubts from the admission cell and then submit the form once they have filled in all the required data with relevant documents. While submitting the application form, a nominal fee of Rs 1000 must be paid. This amount can be paid via credit/debit card, UPI, or cash. 

• Online Application: As the nation is going through a covid pandemic, most of the admission process is now through online mediums. Candidates or students can head to the institute's official website and fill in the admission form. They would also be required to attach the documents requested on the official site. Once the documents are attached candidate will have to pay a nominal fee of Rs 1000. Upon completing the process, the candidate would receive an e-mail confirming the same.

Note - The application fee is non-refundable even if the candidate doesn’t take admission at the National Institute of Technology Mizoram.

NIT Mizoram counselling process is carried out once the candidate has been shortlisted for a particular course atthe institute. The counselling centre is mainly at the institute, making it easy for the candidate.

The candidate is given a particular date and time when they need to come for counselling. This process helps them understand the different fields and specialisations available at this institute. Aspirants who want to apply for admission into various B.Tech courses in the National Institute of Technology, Mizoram will have to qualify for the JEE Main entrance examination conducted by NTA. NIT Mizoram B.Tech Application Process 2023

Candidates can't apply directly on the official website of NIT Mizoram. Candidates need to visit the official website of JEE Main and then they can fill out the registration form for B.Tech. 

NIT Mizoram B. Tech Selection/Counselling Process 2023

Candidates who have scored the required percentage in Class 12 will be selected on the basis of their JEE Main scores. Selected students will then have to visit the college. The final selection of the candidates will depend upon the scores of JEE Main and Class 12. Apart from this, candidates must note that they must have cleared Class 12 with mathematics/ physics as the main subjects. 

Applicants must have scored at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (out of 10) in B.E/B. Tech from a recognised university in order to meet the eligibility criteria to apply for M.Tech courses in NIT Mizoram. Candidates must also have appeared for the GATE entrance examination.

NIT Mizoram M.Tech Application Process 2023

Admission to the NIT Mizoram M.Tech course is based on the GATE entrance examination. The exam will be conducted by some national examination authority. The students willing to get admitted to NIT Mizoram need to follow the application process decided by the GATE conducting body. 

NIT Mizoram M.Tech Selection/Counselling Process 2023

The institute will release a merit list based on the candidate’s performance in the GATE qualifying examination followed by centralized counselling. Selection will be done on the basis of a merit list which will be prepared by involving GATE percentage and academic scores.
