SCET Surat Admission 2023

Sarvajanik College of Engineering & Technology offers admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. SCET Surat admission to UG courses is based on the GUJCET exam and done through the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB). Sarvajanik College of Engineering & Technology admission to PG courses is offered based on Common Entrance Test (CET), (GATE/GPAT) followed by a personal interview. As per the SCET Surat PG admission criteria, passed the qualifying examination in the relevant discipline, as specified in Appendix I with 50% (45% of SC/ST/SEBC candidates) marks at the qualifying examination. SCET Surat Application Process 2023

The application process for Sarvajanik College of Engineering & Technology is completely online. Candidates are required to follow the below-mentioned steps to complete the SCET Surat application process:

  1. Application for the Engineering course:

SCET Surat Admission Process to these courses are centralized, so the candidate has to apply to the Admission Committee for Professional courses (ACPC) in their prescribed forms within the prescribed time limit.

2. Application for the Architecture course:

3. Application for Master of Architecture course: 

Applications will be invited by way of advertisement. On the basis of applications received committee nominated by Veer Narmad South Gujarat University will finalize the SCET Surat Admissions

4. Application for Master of Computer Applications course:

Application form details for this course and details of the GCET examination shall be available on the GTU website; On the basis of merit obtained the admission shall be finalized by GTU. The website for GTU is www.gtu.ac.in

5. Application for Master of Engineering Applications course:

SCET Surat B.Tech Admission 2023

B.Tech Eligibility for SCET Surat Admission:

(1) For the purpose of admission, a candidate shall have passed the Qualifying Examination with minimum Sarvajanik College of Engineering & Technology Admission Criteria for eligibility of percentage of marks in subjects prescribed by AICTE from time to time from,

(i) the Gujarat Board; or

(ii) the Central Board of Secondary Education:

Provided that,

(a) the school in which the candidate has studied shall have been located in the State of Gujarat; or

(b) the school in which the candidate has studied shall have been located in the Union Territories of Daman and Diu or Dadra and Nagar Haveli and whose parents are of Gujarat origin; or

(iii) the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi:

Provided that,

(a) the school in which the candidate has studied shall have been located in the State of Gujarat; or

(b) the school in which the candidate has studied shall have been located in the Union Territories of Daman and Diu or Dadra and Nagar Haveli and whose parents are of Gujarat origin; or

(iv) the National Institute of Open Schooling:

Provided that,

(a) the study Center/school in which the candidate has studied shall have been located in the State of Gujarat; or

(b) the study Center/school in which the candidate has studied shall have been located in the Union Territories of Daman and Diu or Dadra and Nagar Haveli and whose parents are of Gujarat origin; or

(v) the International School Board:

Provided that,

(a) the study Center/school in which the candidate has studied shall have been located in the State of Gujarat; or

(b) the study Center/school in which the candidate has studied shall have been located in the Union Territories of Daman and Diu or Dadra and Nagar Haveli and whose parents are of Gujarat origin; and

(vi) have appeared in GUJCET conducted in the corresponding academic year.

(2) A candidate whose parents are of Gujarat origin and are serving out of Gujarat in the service of the Central Government or other State Government, Armed Forces, Boards or Corporations owned or controlled by the Central Government or other State Government or any nationalized bank and who has passed the qualifying examination from the State where parents are serving and has appeared in the GUJCET conducted in the corresponding academic year, shall be eligible for Sarvajanik College of Engineering & Technology  Admission and his candidature shall be included in the merit list prepared in accordance with the provisions of rule 11.

(3) A candidate who has passed the Qualifying Examination from any other State and,

(i) has appeared in GUJCET conducted in the corresponding academic year; and

(ii) whose parents are serving in the category of services as shown below and who are transferred from other States to Gujarat and have resumed their duties in the place where they are transferred in the state of Gujarat at the time of registration for Admission in SCET Surat, shall be eligible for admission and his candidature shall be included in the merit list prepared in accordance with the provision of Rule 11.

SCET Surat M.Tech Admission 2023

M.Tech Eligibility for SCET Surat Admission:

(1) For the purpose of admission, a candidate shall have,

(a) passed the qualifying examination in the relevant discipline, as specified in column 4 of Appendix I with 50% (45% of SC/ST/SEBC candidates) marks at the qualifying examination, and

(b) obtained the qualifying marks in GATE in the relevant discipline for engineering and GPAT for pharmacy

(2) A sponsored candidate shall have,

(a) passed the qualifying examination in the relevant discipline, as specified in column 4 of Appendix I with 50% (45% of SC/ST/SEBC candidates) marks at the qualifying examination, and

(b) obtained the qualifying marks in GATE in the relevant discipline for engineering and GPAT for pharmacy; and

(c) minimum two years full-time working experience in the academic, industrial, or research organization in the relevant discipline in which the candidate is seeking SCET Surat PG Admission after passing the qualifying examination as of 1st July, of the year in which application for admission is made.

(3) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rule (1) and sub-rule  (2), if seats remain vacant after granting admission to the GATE/GPAT qualified candidates, such vacant seats shall be filled in from among the candidates including sponsored candidates who have

(a) passed the qualifying examination in the relevant discipline, as specified in column 4 of Appendix I with 50% (45% of SC/ST/SEBC candidates) marks at the qualifying examination, and

(b) appeared at Common Entrance Test (CET) in the current academic year for the relevant discipline.

(4) A sponsored candidate shall have minimum experience as specified in clause (c) of sub-rule (2).

(5) Notwithstanding anything contained in these rules, Sarvajanik College of Engineering & Technology Admission in the Post-Graduate Courses in

(i) Dhirubai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Gandhinagar,

(ii) Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar,

(iii) Nirma University, Ahmedabad,

(iv) Centre For Environmental Planning And Technology University, Ahmedabad, and

(v) all sanctioned seats including sponsored seats for the Welding Technology Course conducted jointly by the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and Larsen and Toubro Ltd., Surat., shall be granted by these institutions/universities on the basis of the merit order obtained in any All India Entrance Examination of Repute.

SCET Surat MCA Admission 2023

MCA Eligibility for SCET Surat Admission:

(1) For the purpose of admission in Sarvajanik College of Engineering & Technology, a candidate shall have appeared in the Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) as prescribed by AICTE, for the corresponding year.

(2) A candidate shall have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST/SEBC category candidates) from

(a) a University situated in the Gujarat State; or

(b) a University situated outside the Gujarat State provided that the  candidate shall have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate  Examination (Standard XII, 10+2 pattern) or its equivalent examination  from,

(i) the Gujarat Board; or

(ii) the Central Board of Secondary Education:

 Provided that,

(a) the school in which the candidate has studied shall have been    located in the State of Gujarat; or

(b) the school in which the candidate has studied shall have been located in the Union Territories of Daman and Diu or Dadra and Nagar Haveli; or

(iii) the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi:

Provided that,

(a) the school in which the candidate has studied shall have been located in the State of Gujarat; or

(b) the school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located 4 in the Union Territories of Daman and Diu or Dadra and Nagar Haveli:

Provided that a candidate shall have passed the Higher Secondary   School Examination (Standard XII, 10+2 pattern) or a Bachelors’ degree with Mathematics or Business Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects.

(3) Subject to the provisions of sub-rules (1) and (2), a candidate who has appeared in the final year of the Bachelor’s Degree examination shall also be eligible to apply provided that he shall have passed the qualifying examination with 50% marks (45% marks in case of Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes candidates) at the time of admission in SCET Surat.

Explanation: – 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST/SEBC category candidates) shall be computed on the basis of grand total or, cumulative grade point average as shown in the final year mark sheet of the University. In case of grade points, the candidate shall be required to produce an equivalent percentage certificate from the University.
