Admissions are made as per the directive of the State Government issued from year to year. As of now, 80% of the seats are filled up through Central Counseling from the candidates who have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal, or any equivalent examination of recognized Board or University and qualified in the Joint Entrance Examination conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board and as recommended by the Central Selection Committee (E&T). Remaining 10% seats are filled up also through Central Counseling from the candidates of All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE). There is a provision of 10% of WBJEE sets to be filled up through Management Quota.
Diploma holders in Engineering/Technology and B.Sc. Degree holders are as well eligible for admission into the third semester (2nd year) of B.Tech courses on qualifying an Entrance Test so designed for the purpose by the WBJEE Board and subsequent Counseling by CSC (E&T) on supernumerary basis, as per AICTE notification.
(10+2) passed in any disciplines with 45% and Math/ Computer Application/ Statistics/ Modern Computer Application/ Informative Practice or Business economics & Business Mathematics as one of the main subjects.
10+2 with a recognized board.
In keeping with the tradition of academic excellence of the Institute, eligibility criteria are stringent. All aspiring applicants must be Graduate in 10+2+3 system as recognized by Association of Indian Universities / AICTE in any discipline or Graduate in any professional of recognized University. Selection for the programme will be through MAT, CMAT and also through WBJEMAT.
The Candidate Should Be Pass 10+2.
