Post-graduation: The selection is based on the entrance examinations such as the MAT/CMAT /CAT/GATE for the PG courses. ICFAI University Dehradun Counselling Process 2022

The procedure for counselling is effortless and straightforward. It aims at making enrollment and seat allocation smoother and more convenient for all parties involved.

The process begins with students attempting the standard entrance tests. A rank-based criterion is set once the results are out, and counselling centres are allotted in batches in ascending order. 

Students need to visit these centres with the relevant documents mentioned below and select the seats provided to them depending on the rank secured in the joint entrance examination. It is entirely possible that students might not get the desired seat in the selected college due to the immense competition and popularity of that course or college. Hence the leftover option has to be availed or look out for direct admissions.

The following exams are considered for the courses listed:

Master in Business Administration: CAT/MAT/CMAT are considered for admissions into MBA.

Bachelor in Technology: JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is accepted for admission into B. Tech.

Undergraduate Courses: The admissions are made based on the 12th standard examinations, and entrance tests are not mandatory for these courses. The same is applicable for the Diploma courses, but the admission is based on 10th standard results.

Bachelor in Law: LSAT/CLAT are considered for admission into the law courses.

The eligibility criteria for the various UG courses are as follows :

Bachelor in Technology: Complete class 12th or equivalent in the PCM subjects with 50% or more aggregate marks. Class 12th students awaiting their final examinations results can also apply.

Lateral Entry: 3-year Diploma in Engineering (respective branch) with 50% or more aggregate marks. Students awaiting their final examination results can also apply.

Bachelor in Commerce: Class 12th or equivalent with 50% and above aggregate marks (any discipline). Students awaiting final year examination results are also eligible to apply.

Bachelor in Business Administration: Class 12th or equivalent with 50% and above aggregate marks (any discipline). Students awaiting final year examination results are also eligible to apply.

Bachelor in Science: Pass in Class 12th with Mathematics as one of the subjects with a minimum of 50% marks. Students awaiting final examination results are also eligible to apply.

Bachelor in Computer Applications: Pass Class 12th (or equivalent) in any discipline with 50% and above aggregate marks

Bachelor in Arts-Bachelor in Law: 10+2 or equivalent with 50% and above aggregate marks in any discipline (best of the 5 subjects including English). A score of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)/ Law School Admission Test (LSAT-India) will be given weightage.

Candidate shall not be more than 21 Years in case of General Category, 22 Years in case of Backward Classes and 23 Years in case of SC/ST, on the date of admission.

Bachelor in Law: Graduation or equivalent with 50% and above aggregate marks (in any discipline). Students in their final year awaiting results can also apply.

The college will conduct an entrance examination for some courses. Students who have cleared the admission test will be called for interview.
Final selection will be done on the basis of Merit, through Application and Interview / Admission Test. Awards in sports/cultural events, academic distinctions, quizzes, debates and other extra-curricular activities will also be considered at the time of admissions.
