Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, also known as VJTI Mumbai, was founded in 1887 and is one of the oldest engineering institutes in India. VJTI Mumbai provides UG, PG, Diploma, and PhD programmes. Students must appear in MHT CET, GATE, MAH MCA CET, and UGC NET to secure admission in B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, and PhD programmes. VJTI Mumbai admissions are strictly based on merit only through an online centralised admission process per the guidelines of the Government of Maharashtra and are conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra. PhD	Civil engineering, Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Production engineering, textile technology, electronics engineering, and computer engineering.
