NEET Result Things To Remember

While candidates all over the country would eagerly check their National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test results, here are some important points they must keep in mind for the further process and admission to various colleges:

  • There is a process in place that is used to calculate the NEET exam 2022 score. To calculate the percentile, students must use the following formula:
  • The number of people behind the candidate is divided by the total number of candidates multiplied by 100.
  • The results of the students are the absolute marks that they attained in their NEET entrance test.
  • The ranks are proportional to the marks obtained by the students.
  • Once you receive your NEET 2022 scorecard, you must check the following things to analyze your results:

Your overall percentile

  • Your NEET category rank 2022
  • Total marks you obtained out of 720
  • Your NEET AIR (All India Rank)

The NEET Cut off 2023

Percentile obtained in Biology, Physics, Chemistry

  • NEET Tie-Breaking Criteria: This is an important step in the calculation of the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test results. When two candidates have scored the exact same percentile, then the examination authority steps in with tie-breaking criteria. The NEET 2022 tie-breaking rule enlists the following:
  • The students who have scored higher marks in Biology (Botany and Zoology) will be given a higher rank.
  • If after applying the first tie-breaker, the percentile issue does not resolve, then the second tie-breaker criterion says that students who obtained higher marks in Chemistry will be ranked higher.
  • The third tiebreaker says that the students who attempted a lesser number of wrong answers in their NEET UG exam 2022 will be awarded a higher rank.
  • If, after the implementation of all the above criteria also the tie persists, then the students who are older in age will be given preference for the exam.
  • The tie-breaking criteria are very crucial since they can change the final results of admission despite the students scoring well in their NEET exams. Thus, students must be well aware of this criterion even before preparation so that they can prepare accordingly.

Dear Shavez,

For B.Optom course admission in AIIMS Delhi, each candidate has to make sure they are eligible as per the criteria laid down by the authorities. The AIIMS Delhi B.Optom eligibility criteria highlight that students have to qualify class 12 with Physics, Chemistry Biology and English as mandatory subjects from a recognised board with at least 50 percent marks. However, students have to qualify the entrance examination conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences for the Bachelor of Optometry course. On the basis of the entrance exam, a merit list is prepared and students are offered admission subject to the availability of seats.

Hope this helps!

Hello Harshit,

The counselling for Nursing at AIIMS Delhi is conducted online. After the declaration of the exam results, you have to go through the registration, filling and choice locking process. On the basis of the choices the shortlisting is done.  The counselling is done on the basis of the combined merit list. From August 19 to 25, 2023, the seat acceptance process was conducted. The AIIMS Nursing counselling form had to be obtained online on the official website.

Hope this was helpful. Feel free to ask for any more queries.
