Brandeis International Business School - BIBS

The school was established in 1994 as the Graduate School of International Economics and Finance with 50 students and two degrees: a PhD and the Master of Arts in International Economics and Finance - Lemberg Program (MA). In 1998, the school launched the MBA and Master of Science in Finance (MSF) programs, and in 2003 changed its name to Brandeis IBS. Brandeis International Business School (IBS) offers not just a rigorous business education, but the framework for a diverse, active campus community. Throughout the year students can participate in an array of cultural events, campus talks, academic trips, competitions, job fairs and other exciting activities. International to its core, Brandeis International Business School (IBS) prepares students to work across borders and cultures in an environment that awards diversity and the ability to bring a global perspective to business.   Brandeis IBS takes a global approach to all aspects of its programming, including its curriculum, Centers & Initiatives, and faculty thought leadership. The Brandeis International Business School (IBS) is the business school at Brandeis University, located in Waltham, Massachusetts. Brandeis IBS offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs in business, finance and economics and has over 2,000 alumni serving in over 75 firms across 92 countries. Academics at Brandeis IBS focus on themes of international business and global economics, supplemented by over 60 faculty members, all of whom have research or corporate experience. Peter A. Petri was the founding dean at Brandeis IBS. More recently, Bruce R. Magid, Ph.D., has been appointed dean of the school, effective July 1, 2007.
