Brick School of Interior Design - BSID Pune - BSID
The Research Driven Interior Design Course (RDID) by the Brick School of Interior Design is a 3 years, full time autonomous diploma course. Here, along with imparting basic knowledge for future practice, our course framework of RDID aims at helping students develop their talents and inculcate a reflective, critical, socially observant attitude. Within the course, the subjects are clubbed into three broad streams that we call 'Laboratories'. Each year we offer a mix of subjects under each laboratory/studio. The mix and proportion of the modules vary as per the stage of progress. Each module also has an internal component of knowledge to help stimulate creative thinking and help in understanding of technical rules and skills. The course also encourages its students to explore independently through research application and creation. In addition, as a premier design institution, the school offers students a variety of electives, ranging across streams. These are conducted by leading Artists, Designers, Craftsmen and other professionals invited from the Industry. Students are free to select from a range of electives offered, as per their inclination. These Electives, Research Project and Dissertation together in the final year, provides an opportunity for students to develop their skills and integrate their cognitive, practical, creative capabilities to produce a major project.
