The Cultural Club of Christ College is not only the largest club of the College but also the only club that involves every student, irrespective of the faculty they belong to. As the name suggests, one of the primary aims of the Cultural Club is to help students keep in touch with the rich cultural values, customs and traditions of our country. The Cultural Club aims at moulding the personality of students and exposes them to a wide range of cultural events throughout the year. Apart from participating in a multitude of events, the students also get a first hand experience of organizing and managing the events, and of course, it caters to the creative needs of the students. Along with giving a platform to creativity, the Club aims at developing the intellectual, organizational and social skills of the students. Various skills like leadership, working in a team, sharing success and failure, accepting responsibility are implicit in the working of the club. The Club is led by the coordinator Dr. Daphne Fernandes – Assistant Professor of Commerce and animators Dr. Tisha Roy – Assistant Professor of English, Ms. Rakhimol Issac – Assistant Professor and Head of Mathematics, Mr. Hardik Udeshi – Assistant Professor of English and Dr. Sharon Mohtra – Assistant Professor of Computer Application. The Club has the most eligible and responsible students of various departments as the office bearers. A score of events are organized by the club every year. Some of them have been conducted since the inception of the Club, but each new year sees new events being added to the club’s repertoire.
Rotaract Club, Christ College is associated with the Rotary Club of Rajkot Midtown. The club aims at holistic development of students by organizing and conducting such events which will cultivate, develop and enhance a sense of social responsibility towards different sections of society. For the said purpose, the club conducts fund raising and other activities like Rose Day, Fun-Fair, etc which in turn is utilized for educating and developing (formal and informal) weaker sections of society. The club also takes part in initiatives such Swatch Bharat, Smart City, etc, organized by external bodies thereby justifying the very purpose of the existence of the club.
