The college is situated in a 26 acre complex with excellent infrastructure. Although it is just 8 kms. from the centre of the city, the campus can be justifiably proud of a peaceful, congenial atmosphere, ideal for academic pursuits.
The college has 10 separate hostels (5 for men , 3 for women and 2 for International students) with gym, indoor and outdoor games. They provide a comfortable stay. The atmosphere is very congenial for the students to engage themselves in their studies. The high-tech kitchen, which ensures hygienic and healthy food, ambience and the caring make the hostel a "home away from home"
The overall objective of the National Service scheme is educational and service to the community. It is a student-centered programme in which projects are implemented by the NSS volunteers in the community in close collaboration with the clientele community and it provides vast scope for the students interaction with the people.
The National Service Scheme of CMS College of Science and Commerce is functioning with 100 undergraduate students, along with NSS Programme Officer.
The NSS cell has organised various seminars and workshops viz, Career Guidance, Empowerment of Women, Girl Child Education and Population, AIDS Awareness, Environmental Awareness, Women and Health, Communal Harmony, Leadership Training Programmes, Consumer Awareness, Road Safety, Tree Planting and Blood Donation Camp
The Army Headquarters sanctioned an NCC Senior Division Company during the academic year 2008-09. The company was inaugurated on 9th July 2008
: 'Cultivate hearts and skills to promote nature, promote earth-oriented youth'. OISCA has always believed in promoting human welfare and harmony between humanity and the natural environment. The OISCA of CMS College is functioning with 24 members along with 82 members in "Youth Forum"
The club aims to develop scientific spirit among students. It is instrumental in improving scientific vocabulary, logical thinking and general knowledge.
