The Madras Institute of Technology (MIT) Chennai campus facilitates students with standard facilities and infrastructure for their prosperous academic as well as career orientation. The college has full-fledged hostels which have their expansion into six blocks (4 for boys and 2 for girls) with a hostel library, mess and other facilities, a health center with medical facilities, sports facilities, workshops, and a state-of-art computer center with the latest IT infrastructure. In addition, MIT also has department-wise labs and a well-stocked central library within the campus.
All hostels are fully furnished and have mess facilities for food. The hostels have a fitness court, gym, library, internet rooms, indoor games area, RO plant, steam, OAT facilities, etc. The hostels have separated messes for vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The rooms are equipped with RO water, coolers, Wi-Fi, etc.
The MIT Campus Hostels has been excelling in providing good ambiance and perfect accommodation for students who come from different states and social backgrounds. The hostel is positioned inside the campus that helps students in engaging in academics and several extra and co curricular activities without any discomfort or time constraints. Separate accommodation and mess are being provided for boys and girls with a wide range of facilities which range from free-WI-FI to Meditation Hall. MIT Campus Hostels can accommodate around 2300 students.
The programme aims to inculcate social welfare in students, and to provide service to society without bias. NSS volunteers work to ensure that everyone who is needy gets help to enhance their standard of living and lead a life of dignity. In oding so, volunteers learn from people in villages how to lead a good life despite a scarcity of resources.
Quiz Club of MIT is a student organization which was formed in the year 2011 as an informal organisation to nurture the general knowledge skills of budding engineers in MIT.
Started with only a handful of people, but the Quiz Club of MIT now has more than 100 students from various departments as active members.
The club was made official in February 2015 which permitted the organization to include the first year students to take part in the club's events.
Red Cross involves people with different backgrounds, knowledge and ideas. Humanity unites different contributions from all people without any discrimination.

The Indian Red Cross which has in its fraternity 10 million Youth Red Cross (YRC) and Junior Red Cross (JRC) members keeps on organizing various programmes and activities for the youth.
