Infrastructure

The college has the state of art infrastructure which includes spacious and well ventilated classrooms, well equipped laboratories, computer centre and Central library. The rooms are well furnished, well lit and air. All the departments in the college have Seminar hall which is well equipped to be used for various academic and extracurricular activities. The college has the indoor, outdoor sports and gymnasium facility for the students and staff. The college has the auditorium with the seating arrangement for more than 500 audiences. Medical facility is provided to staff and students through the health center. The facility of cafeteria for students and staff is available within the campus. Career counselling and guidance is provided to the students.

Students Activities & Clubs

NSS Club

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is under the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, New Delhi, Govt. of Maharashtra, and University of Pune. It is an independent service scheme for college students and development of the personality of students through Community service. The aim of the NSS is Not Me But You. P.E.S’s Modern College of Engineering NSS unit is under the University of Pune and funding by University of Pune.

Robotics Club

  • Established in year 2011.
  • Robotics Club is group of students from E&TC and Mechanical engineering, who have keen interest in robotics. Each member of this club is given the knowledge of basic mechanical, electronics & embedded system. They are also provided with fully equipped Robotics Lab where students can build their ideas under the guidance of experienced club members.
  • Club supports and fosters interest in various aspects related to robotics in particular, mechanical design through workshops, tutorials, lectures and projects.
  • Every year club members including staff participate in various national and international competitions and bring laurels to the institute.

Art &Photography club

Art Club with a name "Art & Photography Club" for all students of PES Modern college of Engg. .The club provides a platform for students to express their hobbies in Art and photography. The club is inaugurated by honorable Principal Mrs.K.R.Joshi madam, Vice-principal Mrs.Itkar Madam, Mrs.S.D.Deshpande HOD IT and in presence of all staff member and students dated on 27Th Aug.2015.Art & Photography club includes hobbies like Art & Photography. After successful organization of Art & photography exhibition, Accessibility of reading room from central library is provided for art exhibition, competition and workshop related to this club, has the facilities for students to design and construct various types of Art & Photographic techniques.

TECHNO FUEL

.TECHNO FUEL is club formed by the students for technical group discussion. It is actually technical fuel for brain. In this club, members decide the technical topic of discussion one week before the date of activity and display it on notice board. On the date of activity all the students from SE, TE & BE can join the discussion

Brainstormer's Club

Problem solving is the integral part of every student's requirement. It becomes miscellaneous, when it is practiced over and over. Computer Engineering Department's Brain Stormer's club, which exclusively aims at enriching these skills of our students

Bookdost Club

BOOKDOST is a P.E.S' Modern College of Engineering student startup initiated by students of Electrical Engineering Department. The basic idea behind this startup was connect juniors with seniors and what other media could be better than books. We have students coming from long rural areas or even from far away places hardly affording the living and expense in the big city like Pune. For such students we have our platform where juniors can get books from seniors at affordable prices and in the college itself which means the student don't need to step in the market. Moreover the students get to the know the seniors well who can help them in various things like academics, exams, career opportunities etc. creating a bond between them.

Foss Club

Free Software does not mean Free of cost software. Software which gives it's users the freedom to use, copy, modify and distribute modifications to others.Free Software is now everywhere. The Firefox Browser, VLC Media Player, Libreoffice Office Suite, GNU/Linuxes like Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, etc. are all free software.

Seeds of Hope club

Seeds of Hope is a social activity group formed by students to spread awareness regarding social responsibilities and different social issues. In this group students used to help, celebrate birthdays, celebrate festivals and donate (cloths, books, stationary, etc) to orphanage and old age home.

App Club

Department of Information Technology of Modern College of Engineering Pune-05 unveiled APP CLUB under Information Technology Student Association (ITSA) from year 2015. This APP Club was inaugurated on Engineer’s Day Wednesday, 15/09/2015 by Mr. Rahul Gurjar (working as a Sr. Program Manager at TCL Pvt.Ltd) in the presence of HOD Prof. (Mrs.) S.D.Deshpande, ITSA Coordinator Mrs. Bhawana Chaudhary and all faculty of IT department in I.T. Seminar hall.

This club consists of faculties and students who truly care about the creation of new ideas through the use of software development. We facilitate this by teaching each other through workshops and training. We're an open source community, and to us, that means that we accept everyone willing to learn or give back through teaching.

Metamorph Club

The Metamorph Club is formed by the MBA students for their all round development. Today’s graduates lack proper training and confidence. Hence there is a need to bridge this gap. The main idea behind formation of this club is to prepare students for the present job market and make them proficient in communication and soft skills. The activities of the club also serves to inspire and motivate students for excellence in every sphere of life.
