Ramanujan College Campus

Came into existence as a morning college in July 2010, Ramanujan College of Delhi University has a beautiful campus made according to the modern architecture style (unlike most premier DU Colleges). Situated in Kalkaji of South Delhi, the college resides at the best location. Its proximity to the metro and bus station resolves the problem of transportation for its students. When it comes to infrastructure, the Ramanujan College leaves no stones unturned to provide its students with the best facilities. Students of Ramanujan College can never run short of the books to read as the college library has more than 40,000 titles to its name along with the latest publications in all the subjects taught in the college.

The college has an easily accessible state-of-the-art computer lab that helps students expand the horizons of learning. Sportspersons of this college have been winning a number of prizes and awards at not only University or State-level but also at National-level because of the excellent sports facility and a large playground that the college provides to its students.

It has a fully air-conditioned auditorium called Ghalib which is the centre of the many happening events organised in the college. The additional facilities that the college provides are a medical room, activity room, separate laboratories for different departments and much more. Ramanujan College does not provide hostel facilities to students but its location helps resolve the problem of accommodation that some students face in an unknown city.

The college canteen is light on the pockets and provides great quality food as well as beverages. The annual feST of the college, Josh really does live up to its name as it is the liveliest event of the year and students look forward to attending as well as performing in the fest. To ensure the balance between both academic and co-curricular activities and nurture the all-round development of the students, the college encourages its students to become part of various clubs and societies in the college.

Students Activities & Clubs

Music Club -

Shivranjani, one of the ragas of Hindustani classical music, belongs to the kafi thaat. The music society of the College continues the legacy of Indian melodic music through their performances in various genres of Hindustani classical music, semi-classical, thumri, sufi, bollywood and rap songs. Some of the members also play violin, tabla, synthesizer and drums. Shivranjani has made a distinctive mark all over the University of Delhi by winning many awards.


Nature Club -

This club works towards keeping our earth green and clean by building up green consciousness and promotes awareness and social responsibility among the students. Recycling, composting, organic gardening and efficient use of land are some of the activities implemented by the Club to make it a powerful tool in helping to retrieve the lost nature in this mechanised world.


Movie Club -

This is a voluntary society for film enthusiasts who are interested in making short films and documentaries. Its main objective is to form a nexus between the students and the society, address social problems through the medium of films. It provides a platform to the students to hone their script writing, acting, photography, computer video editing, direction skills besides understanding the ways, working and trends of the celluloid.


Fashion Club -

In this glamorous world, where fashion and fame is what the youth is eager for, it a society created for the students to exhibit their talent on the ramp. This fashion society aims to discover the hidden gems of the fashion industry.


Dance Club -

We dance for laughter, we dance for tears, we dance for madness, we dance for fears, we dance for hopes, we dance for screams, we are the dancers, we create the dreams The dance group of the College performs various dance forms, like Jazz, Bollywood freestyle, Hip Hop, Classical, Contemporary and other modern dance forms and is innovative and energetic in its productions. Their performances are creatively and imaginatively choreographed. By combining both the eastern and western contemporary dance styles, the DNA strives to introduce dance as an essential part in the academic institutions to enhance individual physical and mental health.


Drama Club -

Drama is Life!

Jazba has made a remarkable impression by its socially relevant and profoundly thought provoking productions. Its annual street play/theatre competition – Sagar Nagpal Memorial Nukkad Natak Competition has now become a major event in the calendar of the University of Delhi. With a group of very fine and talented students, Jazba creates its own plays, with monologues, dialogues, plot, music, chorus, rhythm, masks, make ups and beats that speak volumes about the talent, creativity and passion of the group.


Fine Arts Club -

Brushstrokes aims to bring together students who are passionate about fine arts and designing, along with catering the designing needs of the College. The Society has tied up with various other Art societies all over the University of Delhi and other institutes in Delhi.


Debating Club -

Tark (English and Hindi) believes that debates are the vehicles of change in the society as by addressing various issues students not only learn content, dialogue and management but also go through the process of understanding, analysing and acquisition. The society brings together a group of articulated orators who use conversation as a prime mode of expressing their strong views, opinions and perceptions. This is essentially a society that promotes free and liberal thinking and a respect for alternative voices and thoughts. It also helps students develop their oratorical skills.


Dance Club -

Jashan – The Bhangra-Gidda Society

Jashan promotes and enriches the culture of Punjab through dance forms like Bhangra and Gidda.


NCC Club -

Our Motto: Unity and Discipline

NCC, through its multidimensional and selfless service oriented activities in various fields, not only infuses defence security consciousness and values among the cadets but also moulds their character and develops integrated personality. It helps in developing leadership, comradeship, courage, discipline, and the ideals of selfless service amid the youth of the country. The NCC cadets of the College have participated in various training camps and won many awards in drills, guards and piloting camps in the NCC fests of different Colleges.


NSS Club -

National Service Scheme (NSS)

The NSS, introduced in 1975, is very popular among the students.The NSS volunteers have been very actively involved in community services. Some of its broad objectives are, to understand the community in which the volunteers work, understand themselves in relation to their community, identify the needs and problems of the community, develop a sense of social and civic responsibility, utilize the knowledge in finding practical solution to individual and community problems, develop competence required for group living and sharing of responsibilities, and practice national integration and social harmony. Drug addiction,awareness on social issues, disaster management, senior citizens welfare, adult education, personality development, environment and health awareness are some of the issues dealt by the NSS. Blood donation camps are organized in collaboration with Blood Bank, Indian Red Cross Society every year. From participating in the ‘Zero Hunger’ and AIDS Awareness campaigns to helping the College management during admissions the NSS plays a vital role.

The B.Voc Software Development course at Ramanujan College, in Delhi is governed by NASSCOM Sector Skill Council. The minimum eligibility requirement to apply for this programme is to have at least 50% marks in 10+2 in any stream. A CUET score is mandatory for admission. For general category candidates the CUET cut off marks required is 93-95.
