Students Activities & Clubs
SRC in association with Department of Humanities started Drama Club in 2014 with the objective to provide platform to budding actors, script writers and stage directors. The club organises drama workshops and prepares the students to represent the college in drama competitions at University, State and National Level. Students showcase their dramatic skills by staging performance on the occasion of Independence Day, Republic Day and in Annual social gathering. The club functions under the guidance of its mentor faculty Ms. Pratishruti S Singh.
SRC in association with Department of Humanities started Dance Club in 2015 to promote and foster Dance among students. The club organises dance workshops and prepares the students to represent the college in dance competitions at University, State and National Level. The club arranges dance performance to mark Independence Day and Republic Day in the college. Ms. Rebecca Khemani works as the mentor faculty for the club.
Music is the language of soul. The college started Music Club in 1988 with the objective of encouraging musical talent among students. The club has emerged as an important platform for the students to showcase their talent of vocal and instrumental music. The club gives musical performances on Independence Day and Republic Day and on other such occasions. By inculcating love for music among students, college gives them an opportunity to participate in various competitions and musical programs at various levels. The Club functions under the guidance of Prof. H.D Bhave and Dr. C.P. Joshi.
With a motive to provide a common platform for Interdisciplinary Technical Activities of the College, the technical club was launched in 2015. The club aims to technically strengthen the students by integrating their skills in the various fields of Engineering & technology, so as to cope up with the highly competitive environment. Photography is an aesthetic art to capture beauty in life and nature. The photography club was established in 2015 with the objective of promoting amateur and professional Photography among students. The club covers various events taking place on the campus including celebration of Independence Day, Republic Day, Annual Social gathering, Spiritual discourses, Conferences and Workshops. The club carries out the activities with the help of student coordinators who are guided by the mentor faculty of the club Ms. Priya Khandekar of Industrial Engineering.
To create and develop the idea of students towards realization of practical application, Department of Electronics Engineering is formed Embedded System hobby club. This club aims at providing basic knowledge of electronics and will also help students to use these concepts to come up with constructive and useful Embedded Electronics System. This club will have three levels, Beginner (II year), challenger (III year), facilitator (IV year) where Experience seniors transfer their knowledge to Newbie’s junior. Embedded Club creates a platform for sharing innovative ideas and to develop the research based activities.
