Culture endows a person with an identity. We at Roots give ample scope to our students to portray their cultural ethos in all its various hues and shades. Speak of culture and the thought of India comes to our mind. All the festivals and celebrations at Roots showcase the colourful aspects of our traditions through songs, dances, culinary experiments, dresses, designing… to name a few. The students enthusiastically put on show, their youthful exuberances during such fun-filled activities ably guided and supported by the club mentor.

Actors may be born but their talents need to be honed and nurtured. Acting may come natural to a few, but the latent talents should be brought out and manifested, nourished and sharpened. The theatre club at ROOTS encourages students to perform the Shakespearean classics along with the Contemporary plays which are written, directed and enacted by the students themselves.

ROOTS COLLEGIUM is the first to introduce Toastmasters International in the State of Telangana at the undergraduate and intermediate level. The objective of ROOTS is to create leaders through the Toastmasters program in a supportive Public speaking atmosphere.

The Toast Masters Club aims at helping students to strengthen their Personality through exhaustive communication and leadership projects which are meticulously designed to help students learn the art of speaking, listening, and thinking and improving their communication skills, inter personal skills, design presentations and so on.

The ROOTS Toastmasters Club allows building one’s confidence with each speaking assignment and provides a mutually supportive and positive learning environment. Each member has the opportunity to develop the dexterity that is needed for success in today’s competitive work environment. By learning to effectively formulate and express your ideas, it helps you open a world of new possibilities and opportunities globally. Toastmasters develops the members’ ability in public speaking and makes them eligible to participate in international speech contests

We at ROOTS, proudly claim,” Give us the young and novice minds, we give back to the world its business masterminds”. The students, through various activities like Acubiz, Start-up Melas , Business Plans, Mock Stock Exchange, AD Mela, Business Quiz etc., learn the intricacies of Business trade, before venturing into their own. To quote, it is said, “I always want two strings to my bow, but then I prefer two bows of the sort”. Here in Roots, the student is equipped with multiple bows of the sort before they set their feet into the open world to chase their ambitions. The entrepreneur’s club acts as a launch pad to the young prospective entrepreneurs owing to the intensive guidance given by the well informed Club mentors.

We at Roots believe that ‘A healthy body leads to a healthy mind’. Physical exercise is an important or essential part of mental and psychological well-being.

ROOTS sports club is designed to allow students to participate in regional and intercollegiate sports competitions. It is our desire to extend, each student the opportunity to participate in a sport of their interest. With mutual interests in sporting activities, the sports club is administered by the student members administered by the club mentors.

Evert year ROOTS organizes a sport meet which takes place on a grand scale with a lot of pomp and glory. These experiences benefit our students not only during their time on campus, but also go a long way, after they leave the college.

Through Film Clubs, Roots provides young people with an opportunity for meaningful engagement with films. They are exposed to a varied film related resources, to them get involved with programming, reporting, reviewing, and filmmaking.

Interested students get a chance, especially those who aspire to carve a niche by pursuing their passions, in the creative field and choose alternative careers in the various areas of film making, from Script writing-to editing-to directing.

Film club at ROOTS in the past has proven to foster social development, as well as improving inter-personal relationships between club leaders and young people. Film Club provides a safe space for young people to grow, flourish and gain confidence as well as creating a sense of unity across age ranges, social classes and ethnicities through a shared appreciation of film.
