Infrastructural development of the College started with its establishment in the year 1964. More developments are under consideration by the Management. The College has been increasing the various courses offered and their facilities to accommodate the changing trends in education and industry.
The infrastructure of the College aims to provide students with the optimum learning environment.
Mumbai has a plethora of educational institutions that provide quality education. Patkar-Varde College is unique in that its managing body, Chikitsak Samuha, has had the vision to provide for the most basic of demands: that of a safe accommodation for girl students and working girls.
There is a hostel on Campus that has accommodation facilities for 127 girls. There are double occupancy AC and non-AC rooms with attached/common bath facility. Each bathroom has hot water facility with 24 hours of water supply. Facilities such as WiFi, TV, induction plates to warm food or beverages, Aqua-guard water purifier, Computer and Study Room are provided. Medical facilities are also available in the near vicinity.
Special emphasis is given to the quality of food. Canteen facility is available on Campus and the menu boasts a wide variety of food. The housekeeping staff is responsible for the cleanliness of the Hostel. The Hostel has a permanent security service and a resident rector to ensure the safety of the girls.
During academic year 2015 – 2016, a total of 130 students had applied for enrolment to the NCC Unit, of which 25 students were selected for the 1st year on the basis of selection criteria, which include written exam and physical test. Eighteen 1st year cadets of 2014-2015 were promoted to 2nd year, and 21 cadets were promoted to 3rd year after completing two years and passing in ‘B’ certificate exam. To ensure proper working and administration of the Unit, the challenging process of rank selection was carried out by the battalion and stringent selection criteria were applied. Cadets Dnyaneshwar Vitthal Gore, Saurabh S. Mahadik, Praful B. Gawade, Rohit R. Nalawade, and Akshay S. Bhuvad passed with flying colours and were selected for the responsibilities of Senior Under Officer (Sr.U.O.) , J.U.O.s, C.Q.M.S., and Secretary of the Unit.
