Art's Club

Arts Club pays a humble tribute to all the forms of expression, sharing its exquisiteness with one and all. Founded by a group of 3 members, the club has escalated to wonderful heights since its inception on July 29, 2005. Arts club, as an entity, believes in encouraging passion rather than capability. Capability stems up when the heart compels you to generate interest in a particular aspect. With a desire to encourage various forms of art, the club functions with various platforms such as Sargam, Kalakriti, Abhinaya, Nritya, Shakthi and Sahithi catering to diverse aspects such as  painting, film making, writing, acting, singing and dancing. Enhancing opportunity in each of the fields, the club has facilitated the students who have had a genuine will to experiment with their penchant.

Arts Club Activites:

Arts Club has conducted competitions for an entire week - popularly known as ARTS WEEK - such as Drawing, Painting, Drama and Literary activities and many other significant ones in precedence to the Annual Day  that saw the students appear in large numbers. One of the amazing things to be proud of is that one of the founders of the club, Vasanth, has now turned into a professional filmmaker, giving his passion for dramatics an entirely new dimension. The college has also seen many young emerging filmmakers who have made various documentaries, short films in the entirety of the academic year.

BachpanBachao Club

Bachpan Bachao is a student run NGO (Non Governmental Organization) which was started on 14th november 2011. The main objective of Bachpan Bachao is to eradicate illiteracy in India. We interact with government school children and try to bring awareness among them about the importance of education. We conduct many events and raise funds which will be used for the welfare of the poor children. Through these events we also try to motivate children to study.

Some of the events that we have conducted are vygnyanika parvan, walk for a cause, school kits distribution, installation of libraries in government schools, shoe distribution in government schools, solar lamp distribution.

VYGNYANIKA PARVAN: Every year we conduct vygnyanika parvan i.e science fair in our college (SNIST). In science fair we conduct elocution, essay writing, drawing, group project competitions. This provides them a platform to showcase their talent. This is a good way of motivating them.

WALK FOR A CAUSE: Walk is the annual event of Bachpan Bachao which is a fund raising event that is conducted on friendship day. The funds raised through this event will be used for specific cause.

SCHOOL KITS DISTRIBUTION: We distribute school kits in many government schools. The kit consists of note books, pens, geometric box etc, which is done to encourage children.

SOLAR LAMP DISTRIBUTION: We distributed solar lamps to children in support of climate change mitigation.

COMPUTER EDUCATION: The present government schools are unable to provide computer education for government school children. This made our Bachpan Bachao to start focusing on computer education for government school children. This is new initiative of Bachpan Bachao to make government school children more familiar to computer education and make them know its importance.
