ST JIHMCT Campus

Labs:-There are three Food & Beverage Production and one bakery and confectionary lab which are carefully designed to meet the training needs of the students equipped with international standards. 

Basic Training Kitchen  (BTK):-The basic training kitchen is well equipped with 16 work stations. Individual basic practical in cookery is  given   here to the  first year students.

Quantity Training Kitchen (QTK):-Emphasis on Indian, Chinese, continental and tandoor bulk cooking is taught here.  The programme comes during the second year of the course.  The quantity kitchen is well equipped with different islands.

Advanced Training  Kitchen (ATK):-International cooking is mastered at this lab.  Modern techniques of cooking and presentation of food are imparted here.  Students can do their specialization of food production here.  The kitchen is designed with advanced and sophisticated equipments.

Bakery and Confectionary: The bakery is fully equipped with 10 work stations.  Basics of bakery and confectionary products are taught along with different methods of mixing dough and batter. Here students learn to make different types of breads, cakes, pastries, cookies etc.

Food and Beverage Service:-The food and beverage service department at SJIHMCT is another feather in the cap of the state of art labs and facilities provided here.We have two restaurants, each measuring 1200 sqft and 1600 sqft respectively with all facilities to beat any fine dining restaurant. The advanced training restaurant  (ATR) is aesthetically designed; it can be converted into banquet hall at will. Service doors connect it to the advanced kitchen through a well designed service pantry making food service and clearance very effective and professional.

Bartending is an art, to train the  students  flaring and freestyle cocktail  & mock tail making and mixing; a fully equipped teakwood bar makes the F & B Service complete.  Room service and lounge service facilities provided here are incomparable.

House keeping:-The Institute  Housekeeping lab is equipped with contemporary and homely guest rooms, state of the art laundry and linen room, florist and polishing room etc. It is equipped to easily handle a 30 room hotel.

Front Office:-The front office training lab is meant for training students in all operational aspects of the front office . This includes room reservation, registration, guest relation, telephones, cashiering, guest accounting, revenue management etc.  The Institute has  installed latest software's for giving training in computerized front office operations and all the required facilities were provided with.

Computer Lab:-Computer lab is well equipped with the latest systems loaded with advanced softwares. Students can make use of the opportunity to update themselves with the latest trend in the industry.  The students are divided into batches and are allotted individual time to work on the computer.  Extra time as required is also offered.

The campus has wireless-activity throughout enabling students with their laptops to stay connected, apart from having a dedicated technology laboratory.  It has 30 P4 computers with a full suite of software, all with internet facilities and access to printers.

Language Lab:-The  Institute has a well equipped language lab with LCD Projector headphones  and latest softwares for improving and developing the communication skills  of students with special emphasis in English and French.
