College maintains the teaching and research environment with regular up gradation of basic infrastructure. Well furnished modern classrooms, laboratories with modern instruments, Computer Lab. with internet facility, seminar room, conference hall, training hall, common room, auditorium, lush green play ground and a canteen within the campus provides good environment for education and overall personality development. The college is completely residential. Separate hostels with all basic amenities are available for boys and girls.

Recently, special courses/ training like Soil Testing, Plant Health Clinic, Bio-fertilizer production, Mushroom cultivation, Seed Technology, Apiculture, Agri-Horti, Floriculture and Nursery Management have been included in the programme to generate ability for better global opportunity. In addition, the final year students are sent to BiharRural Livelihoods Promotion Society,JEEViKA for farmer’ field experience under Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) programme for six months. Since its establishment, the college library is catering the needs of students and teachers. It has extending reading materials having over 20,000 text books & periodicals for all basic subjects in agriculture as well as on applied aspects like Biotechnology, Organic farming, Entrepreneurship development, Psychology, Sociology etc. The library has recently procured CD-ROM database of references. Hostel accommodation is available to all the students of the college. Boys and Girls are accommodated in five hostels, of which three are for boys and two for girls. All necessary facilities/amenities for comfortable stay, healthy environment for study and few amusement materials for entertainment are available in the hostels. Maintenance staffs are deputed for maintaining proper sanitation, security and law and order in the hostels. Each hostel is well connected with telephone and having generator facility. The common room is equipped with television and indoor games facilities. Every hostel subscribes to some popular magazine and newspapers which are placed in the reading rooms. The College has fully equipped computer centre with internet facilities to train the UG students. The ARIS cell provides internet facility to all the scientists and students of the college at door step.

According to the circular posted on the university website, the admission process for UG courses offered at Tirhut College of Agriculture will be conducted from December 26 - 28, 2024. Dear,The fee for B.Sc Hons Agriculture program at LPU is Rs 120000 per semester.The LPU is the first private university to get ICAR approval. The LPU agriculture programme is designed with a target of holistic development of students. School of Agriculture offers programs with up-to -date curriculum designed to suit the aspirations of agricultural industries as well as major research and development sectors. The laboratories of the School are world class. One can get a job of a Biochemist, Food Scientist, environmental Engineer, Agricultural Lawyer, Agricultural Operations Manager, Animal Geneticist, Agricultural Engineers, Agronomy Sales Manager etc The dedicated faculty of LPU gives the students a hands -on training experience by assigning live projects (Agricultural work) in university agricultural research farms and experiential learning on different agricultural units. It includes disciplines like Agronomy, Horticulture Genetics and Plant Breeding, Soil Science, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Economics, Extension, etc. The major emphasis of the programme is to get the students acquainted with knowledge and hands-on experiences in the above mentioned discipline and apply that knowledge to high value agricultural production in a sustainable manner. The ICAR approved programmes include: B Sc (Hons. ). Agriculture M. Sc Agriculture {Horticulture (Fruit Science) M. Sc Agriculture (Agronomy) M. Sc Agriculture (Genetics and Plant Breeding)The minimum age required for enrolling in the programme is 16yrs. Students may be given an option to go for a 4 weeks study tour to USA/ European countries or any other country as decided by the University subject to conditions. There is also an option to join a partner university abroad for a semester. Students are engaged towards evergreen agriculture, keeping in view the RAWE programme to build interpersonal skills. The students are exposed to Commercial farms to get know-how that creates an opportunity for students to engage and tone up their endurance, confidence and management skills. Emphasis on case studies and inter-personal based teaching to develop skills in analytical thinking and reflective judgment by reading and discussing complex, real-life scenarios is given. This year the maximum salary offered to a student was 23 LPA while average salary was 4.5 LPA. All the best!!
