In order to help all the students including those who are staying in private rooms outside college premises and also those who are staying with their parents, continuous monitoring is done through proctorial system. Under this system, each faculty is assigned the responsibility of 15 to 20 students of his/her department under the supervision of the respective department Heads. The students can contact their proctors any time whatever be their requirement. The proctors meet their students regularly, monitor their academic progress and assist and counsel them in their problems be it personal, social, financial, career, etc. Parents are informed if required immediately. Parents can meet concerned Proctor and Chief Proctor to sort out the problem.In fact, this system existed informally right from the beginning when Late Prof. V. V. Barve was hostel Rector. Past students still cherish the memory of their hostel days under the affectionate guardianship of Prof. Barve and his caring wife
