Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) campus draws students from all over the country as well as international, especially, West Asia, Southeast Asia and Africa. It has a lush green huge campus. The campus life is so exciting and interesting and also safe for all students. It also provides a healthy environment for all students to reside.  For few courses, seats are reserved for students from the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation and Commonwealth Countries. The University has 12 Faculties such as Agricultural Sciences, Commerce, Arts, Engineering & Technology, Life Sciences, Medicine, Law, Management Studies & Research, Social Sciences, Science, Theology, Unani Medicine, each comprising of several Departments of Studies.

The University also maintains a number of  Institutes, Colleges, Centres and Schools.
