Chandigarh College of Education, Landran bears the uniqueness of inculcating dynamic values in the teachers they shape for the future. The college takes it as a mission to form future builders for the country on the principles of education shown by Sir Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, Tagore and Gandhi. Its well organized infrastructure and modern teaching methodology meet the needs of the students of 21st century. The college is affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala and is recognized by NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) and Govt. of Punjab. The college has a unique distinction of being the first ever educational college in Chandigarh-Mohali local planning area. Chandigarh College of Education has been accredited with ‘A’ grade by the National Accreditation Assessment Council (NAAC), Bangalore. The grade was awarded at a high profile glittering ceremony of NAAC organized on 24th April 2011 at Bangalore and was received by Dr Neena Sawhney, Principal of the college. CGC has a magnificent record of having more than forty top schools and educational corporations like Doon International, DAV, DPS, Ryan International, Mount Carmel, Stepping Stones, Gems Education, Mind Entertainment, Zaro Education, Extra Marks etc holding on-campus placement drives. Our college has a unique distinction of being the first educational college in Mohali vicinity. More than 550 prospective teachers have been placed with pay packages ranging from two lacks to four lacks.

The Corporate Resource Center (CRC) plays an imperative role in shaping up the career of students from orientation, internships, projects, summer training to their final placements. Our goal is to assist the students to be successful in their career development and job placement activities. The center shoulders the responsibility of organizing in-campus interviews for student training and placement.
College has computerized libraries. To encourage research activities and advanced reading, our libraries have memberships of 10 e-journals (including renowned publishers like IEEE, Elsevier Science Direct, Tata Mc-Graw Hill, ASTM-DL, Gale Cengage etc.) and databases of ASME, IEEE and ACM. This gives access to students to access articles, books, and reference material online. The libraries have 125 web-based courses through NPTEL and 136 video courses prepared by the faculty of IITs and other leading institutions of India. These courses are taught over the Internet. The central library is computerized and is stocked with more than 40,000 books on the variety of subjects. The intake of books is a regular feature in the library and no important title related to any course is missed.
