Charotar Institute of Nursing - CIN

CHARUSAT has established the Manikaka Topawala Institute of Nursing (Formerly known as Charotar Institute of Nursing) in the year 2009 with the student intake of 40. In the year 2012 student intake was enhanced to 60.  In the year 2011 Institute launched New programme General Nursing and Midwifery with the student intake of 40. The institute has been set up with the primary aim of meeting the requirement of nurses at various hospitals of the state and the nation. The B. Sc. Nursing and General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) programme contains basic courses like Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Microbiology and Bio-chemistry which will lay the base for the students for nursing practice. It gives exposure to the students for medical-surgical nursing, adult, geriatric nursing, maternal, pediatric nursing, psychiatric nursing and community health nursing to enable students come out as a professional Nurse. In addition, this course also helps the students to develop their skills, knowledge, and understanding in the field of research, administration and education. MTIN is committed to provide a qualitative nursing education with advance knowledge, skills and caring heart who will be responsible for nations prosperity with a humanistic approach and maintain a high standard of professional care at all times to meet the needs of changing society through continuing education and contribution to professional growth.

Charotar Institute of Nursing Placements

CHARUSAT has an independent Training & Placement Cell which organizes campus interviews for placements of the students in reputed organizations. An exposure to a good work culture in the beginning of the students’ professional life guarantees success in all their endeavors.  We at Training and Placement cell, provide our students with the best avenues to utilize their skills by helping them find gainful employment with the best firms. The university has provided complete infrastructure for effective functioning of the cell. Training activities are organized throughout the year in an effort towards preparing the prospective students for the campus selection programmes.  The Cell is headed by a Training & Placement Officer in charge and assisted by Student Placement Coordinators who lead a team of placement representatives from various courses of study. The Training & Placement Cell ensures and takes care to provide the best arrangements and hospitality for the visiting company officials.

Student Housing is available at the CHARUSAT owned hostel (for girls) and at other 5 privately owned hostels adjacent to campus. Nursing Foundation Lab is well equipped with advanced and sophisticated ACLS manikins and instruments, glass articles, rubber articles, Sphygmomanometer, Ophthalmoscope, Laryngoscope, Otoscope, and Manometer, to make students aware of the utilization of instruments. These instruments are utilized in fundamentals of nursing, medical surgical and pediatric nursing.
