Christ College, Pune (CCP) renders MSc, MCom, MCA, BCA, BBA, BBM, BSc, BCom courses. The college is a noble venture by Carmel Vidya Bhavan Trust formed by the members of the congregation of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), the first indigenous religious congregation in India. A great visionary and pioneer who left his footprints in the fields of education, social reform, communication, culture and religious formation – Saint Chavara is our inspiration. Having a great legacy in the field of education, Christ College strives to impart quality education without distinction of religion, caste or creed. Inspiring them to become men and women of integrity, the motivated faculty ensures that the students are trained in tune with the latest developments in the subject. CMI, the first indigenous religious congregation of India with a membership of 2000, renders its service to humanity in education, social, health care and other activities aiming at the integral development of the society. Christ College, Pune was born out of the educational vision of Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara, the founder of CMI congregation. Saint Chavara was a great educationist and a social reformer of the 19th century. Christ College, Pune is a Christian institution. Though it is a minority institution, Christ College, Pune is secular in its outlook. Students of all castes, religions, creeds and languages are encouraged to be part of this temple of learning. Christ College is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, one of the largest State Universities in India.
