Christian Medical College Vellore was established in the year 1942 and is maintained by the Christian Medical College Vellore Association. It is an unaided, noncapitation, Christian minority, educational institution admitting students on merit on an all-India basis. With 1528 doctors and 2400 nurses, CMC Vellore has 67 wards and 92 clinics. The college has 143 highly specialized departments, with the Department of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology serving over 40,000 patients per year. CMC Vellore employs 8800 people, including 2400 nurses, 1500 doctors, and numerous faculty members. CMC Vellore has ranked third best medical college by NIRF ranking 2022. The institution is divided into two campuses. The main campus is located in Vellore, and the other campus is situated in Bagayam, which is 7 kilometres away from the main campus.
As per NIRF Ranking 2023, CMC Vellore has bagged the third position in the medical category. The CMC Vellore courses are offered to interested candidates at diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. There are a total of 66 courses offered to students in the stream of science, medicine and surgery. All the courses at the college are offered in offline, regular mode to the students. The CMC Vellore campus is spread over an area of 19 acres and offers students a variety of facilities such as a gymnasium, boys' and girls' hostels, laboratories, a sports complex, transportation services, banking services, a full-fledged library, a canteen, and more. The NEET UG results 2023 were released on September 7, 2023 by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Students can check their results on the official website of NTA. Students who have met the NEET UG cutoff 2023 will be able to take part in the NEET UG counselling process. The NEET UG counselling schedule for CMC Vellore UG admissions hasn't been released yet.
The revised schedule of the NEET PG counselling 2023 has been released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for CMC Vellore admissions to PG courses. Students who have met the CMC Vellore NEET PG cutoff will be eligible to participate in the NEET PG counselling process. CMC Vellore NEET PG counselling 2023 registration for round 2 has started and the candidates have to register by October 14, 2023. Candidates can visit mcc.nic.in for registration. MCC organises NEET PG counselling for 50% AIQ seats and the counselling for the State Quota Seats is conducted by the Tamil Nadu Selection Committee. The NEET PG counselling is organised in four rounds for All India Quota seats. Then the vacant seats are transferred to the State Quota seats, which will be filled on the basis of the counselling process of the Tamil Nadu Selection Committee. The CMC Vellore admission process 2023 is set to begin in March 2023. Admission to the UG programs is based on class 10+2 results. Similarly, the PG admission 2023 is based on the relevant bachelor's degree scores. There are 100 seats available for the MBBS program. Candidates looking for MBBS admissions in 2023 at CMC Vellore are required to submit valid NEET scores. Students applying to B.Sc., M.Sc., BOT, BPT, BPO, and PG diploma programmes are selected based on a CBT (computer-based test) followed by personal interview. The computer-based exam consists of 25 physics, chemistry, or mathematics questions and 15 general knowledge questions. The application form should be available in the second week of March 2023. Eligible candidates must fill out the application form online at the college's official website.

Selection Process for UG Admissions 2023
Admissions to undergraduate courses at CMC Vellore are granted solely on the basis of merit, as determined by an entrance examination, other tests, and interviews. Only unmarried female candidates are eligible to apply for the BSc Nursing programme.
Selection Process for MBBS Admissions 2023
Candidates seeking admission to the MBBS programme at CMC Vellore must take the NEET UG and obtain a score of at least 50% (40 percent for SC/ST candidates), followed by a counselling session.
Selection Process for PG and Higher Specialty Courses Admissions 2023
CMC Vellore admissions to PG and Higher Specialty Courses are based on performance in an entrance examination, clinical test, and interview. The exam consists of a series of multiple-choice questions covering all areas of medicine.
Entrance examination is conducted in online format.
Section I has 60 questions that had to be answered in 50 minutes
Section II (Speed and Accuracy) has 60 questions that had to be answered in 20 minutes.
The question paper for diploma courses features 25 questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and 15 General Ability questions.
