Colleges Accepting GATE Score in India: Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination that is conducted every year for the admission to Master of Engineering (M.E)/ Master of Technology (M.Tech)/ Ph.D. courses. Every year, lakhs of aspirants take GATE examination. The score of GATE examination is also helpful for Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) to recruit the students. Therefore, qualifying GATE not only enables the students to get admission to various courses but also will enhance the chances to be recruited by PSUs. The examination was also conducted in some foreign cities. The result of GATE 2023 exam has been released on March 16, 2023.

Private engineering colleges in Assam conduct their own admission process for B.Tech courses. Every year, DTE Assam conducts a state-level engineering entrance exam for B.Tech admissions in government engineering colleges across the state. DTE Assam will begin the admission process for B.Tech courses in government engineering colleges by inviting applications for the state-level engineering entrance exam. The entrance test for engineering admissions in Assam is expected to be conducted around July or August, and the counselling process for B.Tech courses in government engineering colleges will be conducted soon after. Students willing to join private engineering colleges in Assam can contact the respective colleges directly for admission. Private engineering colleges in Assam have their own admission rules for B Tech admissions. Note: In this article, the admission process for Assam government colleges through Assam CEE is detailed. The admission process for various private engineering colleges in Assam has not been detailed in this article, as these colleges have their own admission rules and policies. Entrance Exams Accepted by Assam Engineering Colleges 2023Assam CEE (Combined Entrance Examination) is an entrance test conducted by DTE Assam for B.Tech admission in government engineering colleges. Assam CEE is a score mandatory for B.Tech admission in state-run government engineering colleges. Some of the private engineering colleges in Assam also accept Assam CEE scores for B.Tech admissions. However, private engineering colleges do not participate in the counselling process of DTE Assam. JEE Main 2023 score is also accepted in Assam for B.Tech admission in private engineering colleges. Students can also seek B.Tech admission in Assam through Class 12 merit. As per the previous schedule, the exam was supposed to begin on May 7. TSCHE decided to postpone the engineering stream exam as NEET UG is scheduled on May 7, and some other TSPSC exams are scheduled on May 8 and 9. Therefore, TSCHE has decided to conduct TS EAMCET 2023 for the engineering stream on May 12, 13 and 14. On the other hand, the exam date for the Agriculture stream remained the same, i.e., May 10 and 11, 2023. TS EAMCET 2023 registration process is underway, and the last date to register for the exam is April 10 without a late fee. Candidates will be allowed to make corrections or changes in the application form from April 12 to 14 while the hall ticket will be issued on April 30. It will be carried out as an offline centre-based examination. To be allowed entry to the exam centre, the candidates must carry the requisite documents with them. The admit card which was issued last week on March 3 is one such mandatory document.
